TopStrengths: Easy, trouble-free installation. Reduced system lag considerably. Able to run many more programs simultaneously.
Weakness: Only weakness I could find is that it was not any cheaper.
Crucial has been in the memory business for years. They are a memory manufacturer and retailer. I was given a great product backed by a great warranty with great customer support. Made in the USA too!

This notebook RAM was a snap to install. Trust me, with 1GB of (additional) RAM, your laptop will fly and Windows won't need to access the hard drive too frequently. Result: you work faster, your hard drive and battery will last longer. I tested this stick of RAM with MemTest86 and no errors were reported after 10 hours. Buy it!

I installed the memory yesterday into my Compaq Presario V2140US and it works great.
I was in the market for a 1gb stick of ram, and I've known that Crucial has been the leading ram manufacturer for years. They have a great lifetime warranty, and I've purchased from them before. Never had a problem. My computer runs much faster now, and I can run a lot more programs at once. I love it.
I got this ram for about $115 shipped. Not a bad deal at all.

This upgrade made my laptop speed up tremendously. I have been using VMware on my laptop and running 2 guest operating systems on top of XP Pro. It was extremely slow because I only had 512MB of RAM which caused my hard drive to thrash while paging memory in out while the 1.6Ghz Pentium M processor was running at only 2-10%. After replacing one 256MB for the 1GB everything runs in almost real-time. My processor is being better utilized and my battery life has actually improved.

Don't spend 300 from apple or 200 from crucial.com. Worked perfectly in 12" PowerBook G4 1.5Ghz. Very easy to install and saw a speed increase right away.

Works beautifully with a Powerbook G4. Installation was a cake and there was immediate improvement in performance. You can't get a much better name than Crucial. Why get generic memory when you can buy name-brand for the same price. Their website will help guide you in memory compatability.

I bought this memory to upgrade my notebook from 256M. And yey..., what a difference. This is a real great deal for the price you pay. It used to take many seconds of paging before I could run a simple application. I added this chip and my laptop pushes the limit. I am very happy, and I think Crucial is the name to trust.

Wow, this was an awesome deal for this chip. I purchased it for my PowerBook, and it popped right in, no problems. It was also shipped very fast (for free). You cannot beat this deal on CRUCIAL memory.

First tried a cheaper RAM but it would heat up and reboot my laptop. This was slightly more expensive but it lived up to its name. Laptop is running smoothly for a week now. On top of it a $10 discount automatically showed up at check out and made the deal even sweeter.

I purchased this through Mwave.com because it was the cheapest price at the time. I had a lot of trouble ordering this because they needed the shipping and billing address to match. I don't know if it was the manufature or Mwave but it just came in a poly bag stapled to the invoice. Where was the original box???!!! Was there one? In any case, the memory works fine and my computer is a lot faster now.

i ordered 1gb to max out the ram on my 12" powerbook (i had 256MB on main board + 512MB on expension slot)...installation was a breeze...but couldn't notice much of a difference...

TopStrengths: Cheaper than Apple by $200!!! Cheaper than Crucial.com by $100!!! This memory is the same that Crucial.com would recomend at nearly a $75 savings! Thanks to pricegrabber for hooking the info up!

I don't know why more people don't do their homework-if they did a little searching on the web they could save big bucks on the same products. This is the highly-recommended memory that apple folks promote at a fraction of the cost they charge!

The memory cards are working great so far. I installed them into 3 powerbook G4's for my inlaws and my wife. All computers are working great. The Tiger OS recognized the memory fine and the computers are performing superbly.

This memory was an upgrade to my Acer Travelmate C303xmi. I swapped out the two 512MB SODIMMs by Infineon and replaced the one Crucial 1 GB for now. The timings are the same, 3-3-3, which is great for the price. Crucial is a well known RAM and I had no doubts about their quality of service.
Ad far as performance, I did not have a performance gain since I only swapped out 1GB for 1GB, but I will be adding another stick of Corsair in a few months.
Newegg came through again on the 3 day shipping.

Good memory for the price

Bought one for my Toshiba Satellite although Kingston was Toshiba's choice in the user manual. Installed it and the system recognized it on the reboot. The installation was simple and fast, anybody could do it. Programs open much faster and the battery life is about the same. (Just need to wait for some more time to give it 5 stars because my last crucial upgrade died on me after 3 years.)
