Excellent photos, professional store quality. A little on the pricey side though. I like the multiple ink catridges, saves on ink. We have 2 cameras one uses SD and the other uses CF cards, so this is very convenient since this printer can read mutliple media cards. I give it thumbs up.

after some research and comparison of price the canoon i900d inkjet photo printer is a very good value for the money. it is easy to use the pictures come out beautiful. i would surely recommend this product.

I have been really impresed with the photos I have printed. using any photo paper I have been able to print very quality pictures. having the card readers on board the printer is an advantage so I don't have to switch USB ports to download my pictures from my camera.

TopStrengths: Cheap (after $100 Canon rebate), easy to use (with canon s50 camera or desktop), or direct media print with the built in monitor
Weakness: Slow, needs good quality paper, I personally think the ink consumption depends on what kind of paper is used, so its uses more ink on cheaper papers, USB only

Great printer at this price (approx $117) is what I paid after $5 pricegrabber rebate and $ 100 Canon rebate. The service of the printer is great and I would say one of the best in its class with multiple Ink catridges.
Adding to its overall value, the i900D comes with a generous range of software that includes programs such as PhotoStitch, Easy-PhotoPrint, PhotoRecord (PC only), ZoomBrowserEX (PC only), Easy-WebPrint (PC with Internet Explorer 5.5 or 6 only), and ImageBrowser (Mac). I double up on them c'os most of them came with my Camera anyway. A one-touch press of the PhotoViewer button on the printer sends images from the camera card straight to the computer screen.

TopStrengths: Printer is as advertised; produces really great photographs. Extremely easy to use and versatile.
Weakness: Canon doesn't provide 4x6 matte paper for photos which I prefer. Semi-gloss is just not quite the same. A little slow printing poster-type products.
I have never used a printer with a computer before and was a little hesitant about the learning curve as well as purchasing a quality printer. I researched the subject, Consumer Reports recommended it and I couldn't be more delighted. Easy to use,
quality of text and photos is outstanding, doesn't take up a lot of space and idiot proof. Would definitely recommend this product.

TopStrengths: very vivid in printing photo pictures. can read all card media, secure digital, compact flash, etc.
Weakness: a little slow with normal black/white printing
i purchased this printer as an upgrade from my last printer. i needed a photo printer since i just purchased a digital camera. i thought it would be convenient if i could just print out some photos. anyways, i am so amazed at the photo printing quality of this printer. it comes out so life-like. it can read most card media. it also has a separate attachment for loading 4x6 photo papers. i love this printer.

Weakness: A little expensive :-(
One of the best printers I've ever used! Easy setup, fast speed and perfect print quality. It took me only 15 min from getting the box to printing the first photo out. Some reviews complained that the picture is not realistic. Well, maybe they are using Canon S45 or S50, which has too small lens. I use a G5 and the quality is very good!

I was able to print pictures with my memory card and the paper provided right out of the box. The directions were easy to understand and they made set-up a snap. The pictures I have printed are gorgeous! I will never send my pictures out to be printed again!!!

Weakness: it doesnt come with a usb cable to connect with my computer....and i havent had time to buy one yet so it is pretty annoying....all i could print so far are pictures directly from the camera
the printer is fine and the pictures look like ones i develop from the store....but im sure u can find another printer (from HP...they make the best ones i hear from everyone) thats cheaper - basically this printer isnt worth 220 bucks. The printer is expensive cause it has the little screen thing and the direct printing...but i think thats pretty useless...so my advice is to get another printer without all the useless junk that prints justs as good or even better....i only got this printer cause of a rebate deal from canon that saved me a hundred bucks....but if u want to buy this one...the print quality is good...i realli dont have anything to compare it to cause my old printer was crap...if ur still not sure about buying it u should just look up reviews online about the printer from websites....

Strengths: Easy to use. Easy to set up. Excellent pictures.
Weakness: Not overly fast.
Really like being able to preview and print from camera or memory card without the computer. We've had HP and Epson photo printers, but this is my favorite. Pictures look very close to digital pictures we've had printed at a photo store. Is not fast for a photo printer and vibrates a bit when in use, but these are minor. Great photo printer.
