Easyshare 500 Photo Printer

Strengths:

It is very user friendly.I was able to take it out of the box and use it immediately, the quality of photos is amazing, produced photos on the spot of visiting family. Excellent printer!

Weaknesses:

The intro cartridge did not print the 10 sheets of photo paper. Wondering if I am going to have extra paper left each time.

Posted Jun 12, 2006 - This is a very easy printer and I love the fact I can take a picture, put the card in the printer and print immediately. I bought this because I am a scrapbooker and now I won't waste photos that I printed and didn't use. It is very easy to crop so I get only what I want. I love the different sizes available-so convenient. The color is superb. I also plan to use this in our camper when we travel. I will know immediately if I took a good photo. Thanks Kodak!

Strengths:

easy to make wonderfully bright, clear photos!

Weaknesses:

buttons need exact touch to always work

Posted Dec 26, 2006 - I love it! We have a new baby, and of course, zillions of photos! We borrowed the printer from my parents, and JUST HAD TO PURCHASE OUR OWN. The baby book is filling up...thanks KODAK!

Kodak Easyshare 500 printer

Strengths:

Easy of use, very good prints, quick prints 1} 4x6 in about 20 sec. excellent black and white, sepia is good.Very good crop and rotation features.

Weaknesses:

no creative borders.

Posted Mar 27, 2006 - This printer does exactly what a 4x6 printer should do. No computor needed. Use a camera or card slot or a usb reader. Take anywere there is 120 Volts power. Love to use this product to proof prints.

Posted Mar 29, 2006 - great quality pictures at an instant. can be hooked up to almost any camera. refils can be found online much cheaper than stores bringing the cost per pic down drastically.

Strengths:

The output quality beats any printer

Weaknesses:

it uses dye, not pigment. The paper is stained. It is not an inkjet

Posted Nov 7, 2006 - This little machine makes great photos very easy but the cartridge usage is terrible. My 10 pic cartridge, that came with the machine, gave me 10 prints. My 40 print cartridge, I purchased, is only giving me 9 and the low cartridge message has appeared. I contacted Kodak help. They responded rapidly

Posted Sep 4, 2006 - A great printer, looks great, prints great, easy to use, takes up only a small space, can plug most memory cartridges right in. Only down side it that it comes with only enough paper and ink to make 10 pictures. And then they want you to buy their specific paper and ink combo packs which are very expensive. Still looking for a way to do ink refills and then buy other bulk paper packs (i.e. costco).

Easyshare 500 Photo Printer

Strengths:

I love the quality and ease of operation. A bonus for scrapbookers is the option to print multiple prints on one page. I use the 4/1 and it works out great.

Weaknesses:

I've had mine for about 2-3 yrs. It is now hanging up and has become inconsistent. I have to turn it off and restart it. Low on ink light has come on prematurely since purchasing it. I've ignored it

Posted 5 months ago - I love this printer as it suits my needs perfectly. I'm not sure whether to buy a new one because of the problems I'm having with it or put up with it. It would depend on the price of a new unit. (The price has not come down.)I did discover, by accident, that if you hold down the right or left arrow, you can scan forward or backwards quickly, to the pictures you want to print.(I did not see this in my manual.) Paper is expensive, but because I print mostly 4 to a sheet, it turns out to be economical. I tried printing two to a sheet, but I felt it wasted too much paper. (4/1 is actually better!) If I want a lot of 4X6's, I take it to the local store.

User friendly, Execllent picture Quality

Posted Jun 30, 2007 - Got it for very reasonable price. Great picture quality, very easy to use. It does not consume huge inks. Only problem is that the starter ink is too little, it runs out very quickly. I recommend this printer.

Great Docking Station

Strengths:

Easy setup, quick download, 1 minute prints

Weaknesses:

Ran out of ink in about 10-15 prints ( maybe due to starter kit only)

Posted Jun 7, 2007 - I would recommend this unit if its at a great price. The pictures are of great quality ( given you buy gloss type paper) Ink does dry a bit long. I would suggest you only print the ones that you love because it does use a lot of ink. I think a full cartridge replacement is a must right from the start. Overall, I only would complain about the ink. Great Unit if you do get a decent price.

EASYSHARE 500 Photo Printer

Strengths:

Prints digital pictures without a pc, size, lcd screen, basic editing features.

Weaknesses:

expensive ink/paper

Posted Apr 29, 2007 - This is a nice compact photo printer that has a color lcd screen to view the pictures. It also has a card reader that just about reads every type of memory card. Nice to take on trips because you don't need a computer. The quality of the printouts are better than anything i have seen in an inkjet printer. Looks just like I picked them up from Walgreen's photo shop! My only gripe is the price of the ink/paper replacements. This is solution is more expensive than getting them printed at retail. If you like fixing/cropping up your photos before printing or are in a place that you don't have time to wait for retail, this is the next best thing!

Strengths:

Was fairly easy to understand and use.

Weaknesses:

I found it a little confusing to select size of pictures you want.

Posted Apr 16, 2007 - I like that the paper and ink are all in one package. That way you will not have more paper left than ink or vice versa. I wish more editing options were available. Did not use the blue tooth.
