Konica Minolta PagePro 1350W Printer

Strengths: Fast and inexpensive ($99) B&W laser printer with really good text output and a small footprint.

Weakness: Graphic even though I didn't think they were bad at all. Printer uses computer CPU support, but doesn't appear to effect computer. New toner cost ($83).

If your looking for an inexpensive laser printer with impressive text output, print speed and a small foot print this is a great choice. I have only had the printer for 2 days and cannot speak for it's reliability, but it looks like it should last quite a bit longer than ink jet printers. The new toner cost was expensive at Staples ($83), but this is going to last ten times longer than any inkjet printer which in quite a bit cheaper in the long run.

Konica Minolta PagePro 1350W Printer

Strengths: Text printing is excellent. The printer supports both USB and parallel connections. The quiet operation mode reduce the noise made by the printer a lot.

Weakness: Graphics were not so flash. The 8mb memory cannot be expanded and limits big print job speed. The low input and output paper capacity will also frustrate you if you print large documents.

If running costs are an important consideration for you then this printer is right up your alley. You'll also be attracted by the fact it's one of the cheapest monochrome lasers around.

If you don't do a lot of graphics printing and you can handle it's loud operating volume (or long print times in quiet model) then this printer is the answer for you.

Konica Minolta PagePro 1350W Printer

Strengths: Good printer, great value

Weakness: if you either refill the cartridge or use a non-new or non-factory cartridge, the printer goes into "deep cleaning" mode (permanently) while printing and slows down to about 6ppm

This printer is great for a home user coming off of the inkjet bandwagon. It only runs off of Windows which is good enough for 85% of you out there. Cost per page is great as is the speed.

I also had the 1250W and the 1350W is basically the same thing with better constrution/looks and faster. To the guy who was complaining about the toner cartridge - yeah, you have to use the Minolta toner which is probably a load of crap but don't misrepresent the product's cost. A regular toner is around $80, about $10 more than the Samsung equivalent. The high-capacity toner runs about $120 and is almost impossible to find so I wouldn't use it as an example of cost.

Konica Minolta PagePro 1350W Printer

Strengths: Fast, excellent text prints

Weakness: Moderate fan noise

This compact printer delivers great printouts with amazing speed. The texts are crisp and clear, even in very small font size.

The start up time took approximately 20 seconds, wish that it could be faster but acceptable to me. The fan makes some noise though but dosen't bother me that much. Afterall, it is still relative quiet compared to my old injet printer.

Overall, this is a nice printer. Affordable and delivers great result.

Konica Minolta PagePro 1350W Printer

Strengths: Fast, quality printing, networks well.

Weakness: Can be used w/Linux, but major hassle. Won't take network card. Not looking forward to buying replacement toner cartridge.

Bought @ Office Max for less than $100. Have used on home network for 6 mo, but had to set up a Windows print server so I wouldn't have to leave my desktop on all the time. My biggest complaint is that it's not very compatible with my Linux server. "Home-made" drivers can be found on the internet but configuration appears to be a nightmare and may include some loss of functionality. Overall, I am very happy with the purchase, although I think I will look at Linux compatibility next time.

Konica Minolta PagePro 1350W Printer

Strengths: very fast print with good quality

Weakness: no print output tray to hold papers, so it curls.... no USB cable in the box, but thanks, it comes with a power cord....

For a printer less than $100, this is a pretty good P/C choice one.
Print out quality is pretty good also the best part is its speed, super fast!
I am a little bit worry about the memory is NOT extandable cause I need to print out some documents with lots of figures.

Konica Minolta PagePro 1350W Printer

Strengths: Fast enough for most uses, comes with the maximum 8 Meg of memory already installed.

Weakness: No USB cable included, toner cartridge included is only good for about 1500 or so copies, 3000 copy replacement cartridges are priced at about as much as the printer cost us on a special discount sale.

Not a bad laser printer, but not a great one either. As you would expect, faster, and much less expensive to use than any inkjet. Not good looking, but not bad either. Takes up fair amount of space, 11X15.5X10" with the trays folded in and 16.5X15.5X13.5" when ready to use. Very blockey looking, with the output tray coming up at a 45 degree angle from the top. There are two sizes of replacement toner cartridge available, we located the 6000 copy size for less than some suppliers were charging for the 3000 size, so be sure to check before you buy.

Konica Minolta PagePro 1350W Printer

Strengths: speedy printing and good text quality

Weakness: Just like most other printers on market that USB cable not supplied; no output tray to hold paper and rather noisy when printing; expensive toner cartridge

This is actually my first laser printer and I'm impressed with the speed especially when I compared to my other inkjets such as epson c60 and canon 820.

The toner cartridge is rather expensive. However, you can also buy refill kits such as refilltonerqueen.com and the tricky thing is that you need to refill before the printer starts giving you low toner warning message, or else your output is slowed down quite a lot.

At present, there is no known hack to hack into the chip that detects the toner cartridge empty/low toner pop up yet.

As of last month there is a new hacked chip to allow normal refills. It goes for under $10 on ebay and various toner places.

Konica Minolta PagePro 1350W Printer

Strengths: Extremely small footprint; superb text quality

Weakness: Quirky setup and monitoring software

If you're looking for a laser printer then look no further than this one. Most importantly, it's affordable to obtain and supplies are reasonably priced. Installation was neither smooth nor difficult; hint: know your USB ports by number if you're adding your KM 1350W to a PC with a printer already installed via USB. I've seen comments about the noise this printer generates, but have patience: once the machine goes into hibernation (long pauses between print jobs) it is nearly silent. The monitoring software is too blatant for my taste. The printer status window can't be directed to taskbar only presence. On the positive side, the software is quite capable and will even let you know when you're running low on toner. All in all, a fantastic deal for a capable and compact laser printer.

Konica Minolta PagePro 1350W Printer

Strengths: Very low price ($99 at Office Max). Surprisingly fast. Nice copy and good grey scale rendition.

Weakness: Bulky compared to my old Xerox P8. Set up was a little confusing. No USB cable.

I'm updating from an old Win95 system to a Dell 8400 with WinXP. My Xerox P8 does not have a driver for XP so I needed a new printer pronto. Ink jet printers are cheap but the special Office Max had was too good to pass up.

Auto install would be a good feature but after a false start, the driver loaded from the CD ROM and the printer was operational.

The paper manuals are next to useless. Instead of one manual for the world, how about one well written manual in English, one in Spanish, one in Japanese, and one in Portugese ?

Note, the printer has both USB and parallel connectors.

Konica Minolta PagePro 1350W Printer

Strengths: Lightweight and cute, but fast and efficient! The included starter toner can last for rather a long time.

Weakness: a little noisy while printing, but when I don't print, I just shut it off.

I bought one in Jan 2004, and I love this one so much that I buy another one recently for my father. I do recommend this one.

Konica Minolta PagePro 1350W Laser Printer

Strengths: Cheap and Fast. Quality is OK.

Weakness: Expensive toner and using (anti-recycle) toner chip which make refill difficult.

Laser Toner is always expensive. When the Toner counter is over (not the Toner), you will be welcomed popup window for each print if you don't replace the toner/chip.

It gets lower rating because of the toner chip protection.

Konica Minolta PagePro 1350W Printer

Strengths: cheap

Weakness: ink runs out very quickly

I bought this printer while it was on sale for less than 50 bucks. However, I have only been using it for about 1/2 year, and already the printer is bugging to to replace the ink cartridge. I do not understand why the ink cartridge can be used up so quickly, since I only used it at home for very light printing needs.

What a rip off

Strengths: NONE.

Weakness: Toner replacement cartridges are overly expensive. Total cost of printing is cost prohibitive.

The low price was to sucker you into buying this piece of junk.

Minolta really shafts you when it comes time to buy toner cartridges. Almost impossible to find a recycled toner cartridge that works properly. Minolta intentionally slows down the print speed on used cartridges to an unbearbly slow speed by use of a proprietory chip in their cartridge.

I will never buy another Minolta product because of this. Back to HP for me which are much less expensive to print using recycled cartridges and reliable.

Konica Minolta PagePro 1350W Printer

Strengths: Absolute low cost.

Weakness: The touted 21 ppm is realistic only when printing complete text documents with little formatting!

As a HP 2MB LaserJet 1100 owner, I was excited about a 21ppm, 8MB printer for $99 (Staples). I don't know how, but my 1100 spews out complicated documents way faster than this turkey. I have 13 days to take it back for refund. I thought I'd get quite a bang out of this model, as I've owned a low-end PagePro before (which I killed with a toner refill kit) and it was FAST, even with complex docs. I replaced my 1100 because I had to single feed sheets, but I'd rather continue to do that, than wait, and wait, and wait for this turkey to print a page.

Konica Minolta PagePro 1350W Printer

Strengths: None!

Weakness: Could not print at 1600DPi, the printer ran out of memory.

Print quality really poor. I own a Samsun ML1210 that prints better than this one.

Could not print at 1600 DPI (the reason why I bought it), it ran out of memory. The blacks are greyish.

Returned it to the store after 2 days of frustrating trial.

Konica Minolta PagePro 1350W Printer

Strengths: cheap, fast and good support

Weakness: bad design when the paper get jam.

I don't like
It is kind of loud when you turn on the machine but it got the job done.
Not really a space saving because you need to open the tray all the time.
Curl the paper.

I do lilke
Good quality for 100 dollars
Fast rebate
As one time experience, the tech support was polite and helpful and no holding time. 1 years warrenty instead of 3 months.

Konica Minolta PagePro 1350W Printer

Strengths: easy to use, easy to install, and good quality print

Weakness: a little noisy

This is a very cheap laser printer, even than most of inkjet printers, but give very good print out at an acceptable speed.
It looks Ok, not very urgely nor cute, and consume acceptable space. when print, it is a little noisy, but for such a cheap printer, you can't expect too much.
Overall, this is a very nice printer at its price range, a good choice if you want a low end laser printer

Konica Minolta PagePro 1350W Printer

Strengths: Easy setup, fast pringting

Weakness: Print quality is just okay, auto-detect function took too much memory

Overall I'm satisfied with this printer which is cheap compared to other brands and print quality is acceptable if you're not too critic. It did have some minor issues like conflict with UPS battery backup. When its auto-detect function runs on the back of windows, system speed is slowed down. But at this price, I have no complaint.

Konica Minolta PagePro 1350W Printer

Strengths: The price was right - about $13 at Staples after rebate. The printer has a pretty quick warm-up and spits out pages pretty quickly. Text quality is great.

Weakness: 8 megs of memory is not enough for high-res printing. Memory is non-expandable. You can not print to this printer from Linux/UNIX that I know of --there is no driver available.

This is a great printer for windows-only users, especially those who are replacing or in addition to an inkjet printer. It will save a lot of money over inkjet cartridges with a roughly 1500 page toner cartridge. New cartridges are about $85.

Great for home use, bad for printing extensive product portfolios, scans, etc due to lack of printer memory.

This printer relies heavily on your processor to prepare print jobs, so users with slow computers (Pentium 1 or 2) might notice a slow-down when they decide to print, but then again, they are probably used to things slowing down. :-)

Again, highly recommended for the home office, and especially good to save money over an inkjet whose cartridges seem to dry out just when you need them.

Konica Minolta PagePro 1350W Printer

Strengths: Fast, Fast, & Fast. Easy Set-up

Weakness: Replacement is expensive though I am not near it yet.

This printer is SUPER FAST, has excellent output quality, and was very affordable. I have had a laser print in the past and this one did NOT leave me disappointed. The replacement toner is expensive but if you compare the total cost to that of its competitors it is still competitive. Buy this one you won't be disappointed.

Konica Minolta PagePro 1350W Printer

Strengths: Very fast set-up; easily networks across Windows XP, 98 and Win2k mixed network; fast printer;sharp clear output

Weakness: Paper hangs over print output tray, so it will curl if you don't get to it quickly; expensive toner replacement

After rebates and coupons, this printer cost me $11 (including tax) at Staples.

Needless to say I'm thrilled. At this price, I'll look for a new printer before springing for a new toner

Strengths: compact design, affordabel price

Weakness: refills are expensive

I originally purchased this laser printer at OfficeMax with a rebate, but then realized that Staples had it for the same price as Office Max, but without having to send the rebate. So shop around for prices.
This is a decent printer for the just under $100 price.
I haven't used it long enough to figure out the cost/value ratio for refills

Konica Minolta PagePro 1350W Printer

Strengths: Prints quickly for a home printer - quality overall is more than adequate. Set up was easy.

Weakness: So far, it's difficult to say. Ink consumption is average, as compared to the laser printer in my office, which is the only comparison I can make at this time.

Overall, this is a good investment for everyday B&W document printing in a small home office environment. The $99 spent is well worth it, compared to the amount of ink used by my inkjet. Only time will tell.

Konica Minolta PagePro 1350W Printer

Strengths: Easy to set-up, faster than the speed of light. It is very compact, functional and easy on the eye. Monthly output is listed as 15,000, and it holds 150 sheets in the paper tray.

Weakness: As of yet I have found none. The toner cartridge is almost as expensive as the printer, but I think it's well worth it.

I chose to buy the Minolta for my work because of it's price. I needed a new laser printer, but my boss didn't think so. I paid for this machine myself, and am very glad I did. I'm so much more productive, and it only took minutes to set-up. It's very fast and the clarity is exceptional! I haven't had one glitch with this machine yet, and recommend it highly. I have two inkjets at home, but if I ever need to print a large file, I will do it on my new Minolta. Thanks.

Strengths: This printer is affordable, durable. Print quality is adequate for home uses

Weakness: Speed could be more efficient. Refills are quite expensive

Konica Minolta PagePro 1350W Printer

Strengths: Pretty small and easy to setup for using. It won't take too much of your space. More important, price not high for a laser printer. Printing quality is also satisfying.

Weakness: Accessaries are expensive, and when connecting with PC, you need an extra usb cable.

The software is also easy to use, and its utility offers helpful status indicators and a good variety of watermark, N-up or booklet printing, and manual duplexing options, as well as three resolution or quality settings. Generally, this is really a good printer for this price.

Strengths: Price reasonable and affordable for home use. Not too big (16x16in), and only 17 lb. Printing quality is really good and not too slow. Set up is also very easy.

Weakness: Toner not last long if you print a lot, and it is not cheap. No usb cable included, and you must buy yourself one.

As advertised, it has an amazing 21 page per minute print speeds, the 1350W will not keep you waiting long. This is such an efficient, low-cost, reliable laser printer, and also affordable for a laser one.

Strengths: Cheap. Nice style. Fast speed.

Weakness: When print a lot of pages at a time, they don't just stay in the out tray but keeping falling.

Good laser printer for the price.

Ask I mentioned in the weakness, when I print a lot of pages, they just keep falling from the out tray. This is mostly because they are wrapped by heat.

And I prefer a draw to keep the papers instead of the current open tray.
