2 Star Review Inexpensive, Great Printer/Scanner/Copier,

Strengths:

It takes a little while to scan colour. Once it's scanned, though, copies come out fairly quickly. The display is nice.

Weaknesses:

The CX6000 performed well for a week; then I noticed that the ink levels were going down dramatically, way out of proportion to what was printed after a week.

Posted Mar 28, 2007 - the ink cartridges are "chipped" and are programmed to stop working after a certain number of copies, regardless of ink level. You will also notice the ink levels dropping FAST! These "chips" also prevent you from using any generic cartridges.

1 Star Review Epson CX6000 Printer Review (GARBAGE)!!!!

Strengths:

None

Weaknesses:

Uses TOO MUCH ink, constantly have to clean the printer head, print TOO slow AND $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Posted Oct 27, 2007 - I bought the CX6000 printer from Best Buy 3 months ago. The sales rep told me that this was a great all-in-one printer. Since then I have purchased over $300 in printer ink because of this new charging the ink technology which completely wastes ink. The funny thing is that I have spent all that $$$ and I HAVE NEVER EVEN PRINTER A PICTURE! I can't imagine how much more I would have spent if I printer all of our digital pictures instead of going to the local Wallgreens and CVS. I called Epson when the original ink ran out within one week and they said that the packages that come with the printer are not completely full like the replacements. The new cartridges were not much better and don't even think about buying the cheap ink on the internet (eBay) because they are not compatible even though the sellers mention they are. I am so fed up of this waste of money that I'm going to buy a new printer (even though this think is still like brand new) as soon as my current ink runs out. DO NOT BUY THIS PRINTER UNLESS YOU HAVE A LOT OF MONEY TO WASTE AND I WILL NEVER BUY AN EPSON PRODUCT AGAIN.

4 Star Review Epson Stylus CX6000 Review

Strengths:

Good quality, fast printing, relatively inexpensive cartriges

Weaknesses:

Starter cartrige was gone fast

Posted Sep 16, 2007 - Overall the Epson CX6000 was a great printer, but there was an issue with the starter cartridge that came with the printer. The start cartridge was out of ink after printing literaly 4 pages. I had to call Epson and they said there was a problem with the microchips for some of the starter cartridges. So if your printer runs out of ink quickly, you should give Epson a call as well. They will send you another set of cartridges free of charge.

3 Star Review Good light use all-in-one

Strengths:

It has a lcd preview screen, can do pc free copy and photo printing.

Weaknesses:

Ink seem to go down too fast.

Posted Jul 17, 2007 - With a lcd screen for preview, and pc free copy and photo printing, it does not need to be connected to a computer all the time. This saves you the fuss to start up your computer everytime you want to copy something. Has all kind of card slot in front, and can connect to a camera via usb directly. Flat bed scanner is also a plus. Can not fax, but this is minor since using a pc with the scanner can give you the same function. Text and photo quality are quite good, and the draft text mode is very fast and saves ink. The ink level on this printer does seem to go down very fast, only a few day of use and printer status show large reduction in ink level. This printer is not for heavy usage.

4 Star Review Great AIO machine

Strengths:

relative small size compared to my old epson aio fast scan ink cartridges separate-replace one by one

Weaknesses:

ink levels seem to go down even w/o usage

Posted Jul 4, 2007 - The printer is great as the output page speed is very fast both in color and black and white. The only problem that I find with the printer is that the ink quickly dries out and is fairly expensive to replace as generic cartridges would not work with this chipped cartridges.

3 Star Review epson cx6000

Strengths:

size and ink cartridges are individual and separate.

Weaknesses:

none available at this time.

Posted Apr 13, 2007 - I purchased this printer because of its size, price, and price to refill the ink cartridges. I still have not had it long enough to recommend it or discredit the product. I will mention that after a recent trip to the local magazine rack, I noticed that the top contenders for printers are canon products mostly. This has me a little concerned, but hopefully I mad the right choice.

5 Star Review Epson Stylus CX 6000 Printer

Strengths:

Great quality.

Weaknesses:

N/A

Posted Feb 20, 2007 - We LOVE this All in One printer! Copies are as good and sometimes better than the original. We like the size of this printer as it doesn't take as much room as our previous one. Epson warranty has been very good for us.

4 Star Review Good printer at good price

Strengths:

Nice looking, great color printing, scanning and copying. High quality (color and B/W) prints.

Weaknesses:

High-cost in Epson brand ink cartridges

Posted Nov 25, 2007 - So far this printer has been good to me. Printing is fast and true to color. Scans are very good. Copier function is quick and accurate. One thing I would caution about is the after market (generic brand) inks. If you can stick with original Epson "DuraBrite" ink cartridges, you will love the CX-6000

2 Star Review Ink sucker

Strengths:

cheap, multi-functions, good print quality

Weaknesses:

inks went too fast

Posted Oct 26, 2007 - I got this printer very cheap with a mail-in-rebate. It has multi-functions, and I am happy with the copying and scanning functions. The printing quality is good. The biggest problem o this printer was it sucked inks crazy! I totally printed about 5 photos and less than 30 texts, and then I was told to replace the ink cartridges. What a joke! Since I got the rebate, I don\'t wanna complain too much, but just avoid buying it with your money if it\'s not free.

3 Star Review Epson Stylus CX6000 Inkjet Printer

Strengths:

Cheap, good quality prints, cheap generic ink available, card reader, lcd screen

Weaknesses:

Individual ink cartridges, requires frequent refills

Posted Oct 15, 2007 - Whenever I see deals on Epson printers, I buy them and save them until I or someone I knows needs a printer. This particular printer I purchased on clearance at a local office supply depot for $65 with a $75 rebate. So needless to say, the price was right. It is comparable to most of the other Epson AIOs I have used previously – good quality prints with replacement ink cartridge issues. The cartridges are chipped so you cannot refill them, however, you can get generic replacement carts for around $5 each. You will want to consider this because this printer goes through ink rather quickly, and purchasing the Epson carts will become rather expensive rather quickly. Cartridges aside, the unit works well as a printer/scanner/copier, and does not need to be connected to a computer to make copies. The card reader accepts CF, MS/PRO, MS, SD, and XD media and it has a LCD preview screen. It works on PC and MAC, and is PictBridge compatible. I would suggest not paying full price for this printer – it is often offered in a promotion for cheap or free/FAR. If you can find a good deal on it then you will not feel so bad when/if it turns out that it doesn’t work for you – and there is a pretty good chance that it will not work for you. I would obviously buy it again for the same price, but would only recommend it on a trial basis, and only if you can get a similar good deal on it.

4 Star Review Decent All-in-One Printer from Epson

Strengths:

Color LCD, Media card reader, exceptional print and scan quality, fast printing and copying

Weaknesses:

None so far

Posted Oct 8, 2007 - Epson CX6000 has a nice visual appeal. It looks very sturdy and does not have the feel of cheap-printer. Print quality is exceptional, scans are GREAT and printing and copying speeds are also decent. I like the color LCD that allows me to print pictures without having to turn on my PC. This is not my primary printer, so I have not noticed excessive ink consumption in this model. Overall, I like this printer over the CX5000 model.

2 Star Review Do not buy!!!

Strengths:

Install easily and fair price

Weaknesses:

Eat cartridges like crazy, and it is so slow to print out of memory card.

Posted Sep 16, 2007 - I purchased it because it was priced pretty good, but I was disappointed when used it, comparing to the all-in-one printer from HP. It is so slow to print out of memory card and eat cartridges like crazy. I think Epson must profit a lot from selling their inks.

4 Star Review Epson CX6000

Strengths:

Works like a charm. 2" display and card slots , Print color text up to 27 ppm

Weaknesses:

Faulity ink levels

Posted Aug 26, 2007 - I bought this All in One printer to serve as a printer, scanner, and copier. I also wanted a printer that had memory card slot and a lcd screen. This printer has all of the above and it fit my budget. Overall, I am happy with my purchase. I love how this computer functions. I have had no paper jams, errors, or any problems. I do have one small issue, and that is that the ink cartridges run out of ink too fast, even if you don't use them.
