Don't buy this product

Strengths: Fast, nice design

Weakness: Jams easily, repeated other malfunctions, hard to use software, archaic Mac support, hard to reboot, poor phone support, extremely slow chat support.

I had to exchange this product after two weeks for complete hardware malfunction, then it broke again one month after manufacturer's warranty expired (fortunately I bought an extended warranty), all with light home office use.
I'm buying a top-rated Canon.
What would you get, A GMC truck or a Toyota Tundra, duh.

Ink costs way too high

Strengths: Looks nice

Weakness: Mini cartridges run out fast, print quality poor.

Think about this - an all-in-one costs $100 for the unit itself. Ink cartridges, with very occasional home use, cost $385 a year?
Avoid this printer, which has minimal features - doesn't even warn you when cartridges are running low. And photo print quality is abysmal.
Avoid. Avoid.

indeed the ink cartridges do not last very long. If you will be printing mainly longish, say 25-30 page, articles and such using black ink with only the occasional color picture...find something else.

Great multifunction printer for a home setting

Strengths: Good print/copy quality, easy-to-understand control panel, PictBridge interface, relatively inexpensive toner cartridges, good form factor

Weakness: Minor annoyances: prints test page whenever turned on, power brick separate from printer chassis

When our old printer died, we were looking to upgrade to a multifunction printer for a couple of reasons: we had no scanner, and my wife's new job would necessitate some printing and copying from home.

We wanted an HP because of their reputation for printers, so it was easy for us to narrow down our search to the PSC series. The 1510 seemed to be the best match for us, since it had good reviews, both the printer and the ink cartridges were (relatively) cheap, and we didn't need any memory card slots (thanks to the PictBridge port) or a preview display.

One minor negative is that every time you turn on the printer, a test page is printed. I can't imagine that this is really helpful, since the ink cartridges are small to begin with. I now leave the printer on all the time to avoid printing a test page.

The printer has been very easy to use so far, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a bargain printer with the same features we needed.

I have been using this model since a month or so. and it's really annoying that it prints test page everytime i turn on the printer. i though there must be any setting for it but all effort was in vain. I really doubt why this setting is there. isn't there any way to get rid of this?
Kindly help!

Part of the installation process is to calibrate either the printer or the scan. To do this it prints the test page and you are asked to place on the scanner and scan via the buttons on the device (not via software). If you have not done this you might be getting the test page?

Good value printer

Strengths: Perfect fit for home use. Great to have a copier around the house.

Weakness: None as of yet.

This will be my second 1510. Bought this one for my college student. Love having the copier and scanner as well. Be sure and order extra ink cartridges as they are small. Overall rating is excellent.

PSC 1510 (3 in 1)

Strengths: This printer is pretty impressive, I just bought it from Bestbuy yesterday. Its performance is really good and produces a clear copy.

Weakness: I haven't found any weaknesses yet.

The overall performance of this printer to me is pretty good. The price is reasonable. This printer does all such as: printing, copying, scanning. I wish it has a fax machine capability too. I would recommend this printer to anyone.

The PSC 1510 All-In-One Inkjet Printer

Strengths: Color and multi functions are very good

Weakness: don't see any for a week of used

The PSC 1510 All-In-One Inkjet Printer that i just bought was working very good, its color and its functions like the scanner, make this printer very useful in my works. With it's reasonable price, it's worth the money i spend.

HP PSC-1510 All-In-One Inkjet Printer

Strengths: Prints and copies real fast in black and white and not too bad a time in color and not too noisy when printing

Weakness: Can't think of any.

I have had this HP All-In_one Inkjet Printer since Sept. 28 2005 and it has preformed excellent for me with no problems, is easy to hook up to you computer and the installation software was a breeze to install, I have made and printed Cd inserts, copied all kinds of documents with the scanner and scanned photos in to my PC and works like a dream, can't bet the price would recomend this printer to anyone needing a good all-In-One Printer.

HP PSC1510

Strengths: Prints fast, easy to install and set-up, very simple

Weakness: no USB cable, installation takes a long time

This product is very nice. It prints fast and very quietly. This printer is also very small compared to other all-in-one's and works great if you are limited in space. This really is the best bang for your buck. It's very useful since it is a scanner, printer, and copier. The design is very simple which is really nice and doesn't have millions of features that you need to learn and mess with. It's easy to use and very user friendly. Overall I would say, this is one of the best all-in-one printers. I have a CANON MP780 all-in-one which is everything this is with a fax machine, but it is much bigger and I don't think it's as great as this one.

HP 1510 All In One

Strengths: very user friendly. Produces clear, vibrant pics along with crisp text. The copy feature works excellent also.

The All In One is very user friendly. It produces clear, vibrant pics, along with crisp text. The copy feature works excellent also. My parents were the first to get this model and I am now getting one for my daughter's 19th birthday as she desperately needs it in college. For the money, you cannot find a better machine.

Great printer for the price

Strengths: This printer produces good color on photos and it has good speed.

Weakness: I haven't found any weaknesses yet, but we haven't had it very long yet.

We use this printer on both Mac and PC, and it works equally well on both. This is a versitile and quality printer, and it makes a great addition to our office.

Good for home user

Strengths: Cool design. The price is very cheap.

Weakness: No cards reader.

This is a very good all-in-one printer. I got it for a week and print a lot of pages. It consumes ink a little bit fast but still acceptable. The software are good and let you easily manage photo printing job. Unlike the other version of HP software, installation of this version is so smooth and easy (but still required huge amount of space). It has very important function that cannot found from previous version of HP all-in-one printer, the "Black ink only printing".

I have this printer. It is TERRIBLE for printing clean edge business cards. The mechanism that pulls in the paper (the card blank page in this case) ends up folding over the 1/4 inch edge that the business card breaks from, BEFORE IT PRINTS. This has the effect of making your layouts off by at least 1/4 inch and very unpredictably so. I hate this printer.

It also eats ink like there is no tomorrow. Get a Canon!

Excellent all-in-one for personal use

Strengths: Nice looks,PictBridge compatability, Very quiet scanner, Easy-to-use onboard buttons, Can purchase optional photo ink, Excellent copy mode, Comes with the USB code (a rarety these days)

Weakness: Needs tweaking to print photos on non-photo paper correctly. Scan quality could be a tad better. Small ink containers. Cannot close front of printer unless paper is removed. So-so Software.

This all in one is a great little item to pick up if you're in the market for an at-home/personal office/personal use multipurpose printer. It has everything you need in a slick package, and carries the performance to match. The printer offers many modes not commonly found on cheaper printers. An example of this is the ability to adjust the hold time between pages to allow the ink to dry. Another example is the ability to fine-adjust the ink output, as apposed to your typical "Draft, normal, Best" modes (which it still has if you want to use it).

The printer also comes with both a color AND black cartridge. Many of todays printers are being packaged with only a color cartridge, which produces black by mixing the colors. The color cartridge is a 4-color, with an optional 6 available.

The only negatives I can give this printer is its scan to computer speed noticeably slower than stand alone scanners), and the cost per page. On the other hand, the "copy" mode makes black and white copies surprisingly fast, though I have not had a chance to try it in color yet.

In summary, despite some of the negative "Professional" reviews you might read, it is my personal opinion that this printer is definitely worth taking a look at.

HP PSC 1510 All-in-One

The HP PSC 1510 All-in-One produced the best photos in the group, but they curled considerably. The PSC 1510 was the only entry to finish outputting our mix of business documents in less than six minutes. Photos were also fast at 2:08 for 4 x 6-inch prints, but the 8 x 10-inch prints lagged at 5:21. Copies were
