Posted 1 year ago - Excellent for the money, this cpu is a bomb, very fast on almost any application you through them in. Much faster than the E8400 when it comes to multitasking.

Who needs Extreme?

Strengths:

FOUR Processors and 12MB Cache makes this CPU FAST!

NONE

Posted 1 year ago - Built a new system for video editing and needed some serious horsepower to match my X48 motherboard. Have always favored Intel CPU's and after looking at the Q9550 I had to have it. Paired up with 4GB DDR3-10666 ram I have yet to find any application/s that will bring this CPU to it's knees. Easy to over clock if that's your thing.

Posted 1 year ago - This processor is now an excellent value. You can get nearly Quad Extreme performance for what you used to have to pay for a Q6600. The large cache on this baby also provides plenty of room for multi-tasking.
