Good Game
It has good gameplay and great graphics. It has good entrances and music. Great season mode. Great options.
Very bad AI. Tricky manouverability. Bad simulation. Dated roster for time release. Bad countering. Loopholes in gameplay i.e doing a grapple while you're on a table and oponent isnt
Posted Dec 18, 2005 - The game is extremely fun to play and the season mode is good however if you are on Smackdown you get the running Teddy Long over storyline every time. The storylines are good though when you get them and they are better thought up than in the previous versions. The gameplay has a lot to be desired for in some respects. THQ havent quite mastered the manouverabilty in some aspects of the challenges and if you are not on the same height of playing surface things start to look silly. The AI is stupid if you are in a tag match. The entrances are amazing, paticularly with NWO Hogan as it's in black and white. There are also options to create an entrance step by step including firework control and lighting. The unlockable things are good but the fact that you have to get a PSP to unlock Jake The Snake is overly demanding and stupid. You shouldn't need to go out and get anything to have the full benefits of this game except broadband. THQ had their hands out on this one. There are noticable mistakes in the games playability for example sometimes when you throw an oponent into the corner they remain stationary and just slide there like a greased statue. If the countering was more realistic aswell this game may of been a better credit to the Smackdown series. The game is definately worth having but is very far from perfect. Be prepared to feel ripped off on the Jake The Snake thing.
