3 Star Review SvR

Strengths:

graphics are better, a lot more matches which make it funner to play

Weaknesses:

way to many gliches like for example when your creating a stable, and you have 3 people in it, and you choose DX entrance, you can't have a 6man tag with a girls

Posted Jul 30, 2006 - i have over $800,000 on the game, and can't spend any of it, cause i can't pass reverse the casket, if i could do that, i would have the game beat in a few hours, they could of made it like the first SvR, where you can change shows for the wrestlers, and they could of made the season modes stronger, and changed the smackdown one a little bit for different wrestlers(instead of always T'Lo getting hit by a car)& also, in tag matches, your tag team partener doesnt' know what hes doing, in 6man tag, its a little better..overall, i would recommend buying this

3 Star Review Good Game

Strengths:

It has good gameplay and great graphics. It has good entrances and music. Great season mode. Great options.

Weaknesses:

Very bad AI. Tricky manouverability. Bad simulation. Dated roster for time release. Bad countering. Loopholes in gameplay i.e doing a grapple while you're on a table and oponent isnt

Posted Dec 18, 2005 - The game is extremely fun to play and the season mode is good however if you are on Smackdown you get the running Teddy Long over storyline every time. The storylines are good though when you get them and they are better thought up than in the previous versions. The gameplay has a lot to be desired for in some respects. THQ havent quite mastered the manouverabilty in some aspects of the challenges and if you are not on the same height of playing surface things start to look silly. The AI is stupid if you are in a tag match. The entrances are amazing, paticularly with NWO Hogan as it's in black and white. There are also options to create an entrance step by step including firework control and lighting. The unlockable things are good but the fact that you have to get a PSP to unlock Jake The Snake is overly demanding and stupid. You shouldn't need to go out and get anything to have the full benefits of this game except broadband. THQ had their hands out on this one. There are noticable mistakes in the games playability for example sometimes when you throw an oponent into the corner they remain stationary and just slide there like a greased statue. If the countering was more realistic aswell this game may of been a better credit to the Smackdown series. The game is definately worth having but is very far from perfect. Be prepared to feel ripped off on the Jake The Snake thing.

5 Star Review SvR2006 is a must have for WWE wrestling fans

Strengths:

Great graphics, Authentic Superstar VO's, Plenty of match options, Cool Create-A-Superstar Mode, Challenging GM Mode, Season Mode, Backstage Brawls, Fulfill Your Fantasy and Online Multiplayer Mode.

Weaknesses:

Opponents "Reverse" moves too often, Loading screens galore, Retarded AI Tag Partner.

Posted Nov 20, 2005 - Overall, this game simply rocks. Despite it's minor flaws here and there this game is very entertaining. It is one action packed title with many hours of wrestling entertainment. Create-A-Superstar is fun to make random characters that you want to see in the ring or in season mode. There's also capability to assign custom move sets or indivual moves for a created superstar as well as a custom entrance. Interact with every object in the environment in the Backstage brawl mode to cause the most damage to your opponent. The Divas wear hot outfits in the Fulfill Your Fantasy matches. As far as the "Reverse-crazy" AI opponent, I found customizable Options for the AI Reversal Rate for various attacks, grapples etc. YES, you can adjust the AI's gameplay mechanics individually! The new Stamina system can also be turned off for nonstop whoop @$$. This game is awesome. Get it.

5 Star Review Smackdown versus Raw 2006

Strengths:

The graphics are great and the gameplay is fantastic. The realism seems to have improved drastically from the first SvR.

Weaknesses:

One weakness is the lack of an extensively branching story mode. Other than that, there are few to no drawbacks.

Posted Nov 18, 2005 - This game is definitely worth buying if you are a wrestling fan. This is by far the best wrestling game I have ever played. Unlike other wrestling video games, this one definitely keeps you hooked for many, many hours. Despite the new additions to the wrestling matches such as stamina and momentum, the gameplay is still pretty awesome. Buy it!!!

1 Star Review Smackdown vs Raw, A let down

Strengths:

The graphics are 10 times better, the menues are more elaborate, there are more charachters and more options

Weaknesses:

The game sucks to play. The people reverse to much even when they are beat unlike the previous games. The new stamina thing is lame even though you can take it out. Things are way harder to pull off

Posted Nov 14, 2005 - Somebody new was obviously hired to make this years game and he should be fired. He made it way worse. The game only looks better and has more to do. Also the fans get ripped off as you need a PSP and the game on the PSP to unlock one of the legends. Yeah, great idea. I liked all the smackdowns except this one. HCTP and SVR were much better. They should go back to the drawing board. The season mode is better but what's the point when the gameplay sucks? I love WWE but I have to be honest, the gameplay will make you bang your head against the wall as it is so annoying. Be a fool and buy this game. You cant even change the rosters like you could in HCTP. Also the AI is rubbish as in a tag match they are so good at breaking up your pins and submissions but when YOUR cpu controlled tag partner is needed he just stands there and does nothing. Hard? No just patheticly annoying. Believe it or not I am die hard wrestling fan too. I have all the other Smackdowns.

5 Star Review Great

Strengths:

Great Graphics

Weaknesses:

None right now

Posted Nov 6, 2005 - It has some great great graphics as far as I can see. If I had a real picture, I'm almost sure the game will look the real thing. I heard it as over 100 matches. I guess it has all the title belts. I will have more info on it soon. You can have up to 6 players.
