A 1-player racing game?????

Strengths:

Awesome graphics. Neat premise and good soundtrack.

Weaknesses:

No special features; standalone multiplayer missing

Posted May 14, 2007 - Call me crazy; a car racing game should have a multi-player mode that doesn't rely on playing online against other individuals also owning the disk. You ought to be able to toss this in, pick up a few controllers, and play with a friend sitting right next to you. I've been gaming a LOONG time, and unless I'm really dumb, I simply can't find that this game supports such a feature. To me, that kills the game. It would have gotten 5-stars from me, but instead I'm dropping it to 3 for blatantly missing a must-have feature.

Strengths:

great graphics, intense

no offline multiplayer, load times

Posted Mar 19, 2008 - I’ve been wanting to play this game since the ps3 came out. I finally picked the game up recently and I’m liking it a lot. The graphics are great and the sense of speed is intense. I haven’t tried the online multiplayer yet and didn’t realize there was no offline multiplayer. Wish they would have included that. Also, the load times are pretty long. I still recommend this game even if you’re remotely into racing games.

Great racing game that looks awesome in HD

Strengths:

Great graphics, and online play

Weaknesses:

Standalone is a little bit lacking on extras

Posted Sep 24, 2007 - This game is alot of fun for online mode. Much better than Need for Speed Carbon which is great too, but this game is much more fun. The desert graphics are great and would recommend people to purchase this.

The best game out for PS3

Strengths:

Awesome graphics, great physics and diversity of tracks and vehicles

Weaknesses:

none

Posted Oct 31, 2007 - By far my favorite PS3 game even though I keep buying new ones. Replay value is high since when the track has ruts formed form your car and others that affect gameplay lap after lap. The Playstation Network has downloadable content such as tracks and vehicles to ad more fun to this already great game.

Awesome game!

Posted Oct 20, 2007 - This is a great game for PS3 - I have first downloaded the demo off the PS3 store, but then I bought the game. It has very realistic driving in Monument Valley, UT, and allows the use of motion sensitive PS3 controller. The 50" plasma HD makes the whole experience even better!

MS is perfect game in motion sensitivity!

Strengths:

Bump & crash is so beaitiful!

Weaknesses:

Some motion sensitivity is sort of rubbish due to acceleration & speed during the gameplay. The loading time is horrible and needed to update as fast as possible.

Posted Sep 21, 2007 - I really loved this game and I feel like I'm in the game racing on the dessert. I loved the graphic in HD and the environment is so amazing! I might have to wait for MS2 to come out! And btw, DualShock 3 is also coming on its way for this game, yay!!!

Motorstorm

Strengths:

Amazing visuals

Weaknesses:

Only one player offline

Posted Sep 15, 2007 - Motorstorm is a great off road racing game. The visuals are simply breadth taking. The graphics are realistic with very good physics. The music suits the game action very well too. The only drawback is the lack of options in the offline play mode. There is only one player mode in the game. However, when you connect to the online mode, doors to more multiplayer game modes are opened. This game is great for online player, since the offline player mode is rather restricted and becomes repetitive after few hours of playing.

Motorstorm PS3

Strengths:

Amazing graphics lots of action and nice soundtrack.

Great Game for the Motorsports Crowd

Strengths:

Online Play, Fast Paced, Interactive

Weaknesses:

only one player offline

Posted Apr 29, 2007 - This was the first game that I bought for my PS3. I downloaded the demo and was instantly drawn to the game. There is a bit of a learning curve and strategy involved but quickly the fun is underway. A pretty fast game that is even better while online. The are rumors of expanded game modes and additional content downloadable in the near future. If you like racing games, I would consider a must have for the PS3.

Decent game

Posted Apr 19, 2007 - Before I bought this game I decided to get the demo of the game from the Playstation Store. After playing the demo of this game, I knew I had to have it. This game truly does take advantage of the graphical abilities of the Playstation 3. What makes this game pretty fun is crashing your vehicle (sometimes intentionally or not) and seeing the physics of it all. The game play is pretty simple, nothing complex since it is a racing game. One of the main concerns I have is the load times. Displaying the vehicle choices that you want takes about 10-20 seconds to load, which is the only flaw I can see with this game. I would definitely recommend this game for those who like playing racing games on occasion and who also want a game that is pretty fun and exciting.
