Canon EOS 7d and periphials. Initial problems whereby payment had been made but not approved due to security check by CC co - this was not their fault but they did not follow up with sufficient service. Their website hours of telephone support is incorrect and too ridgid. Payment rectified I was assured personally over the telephone the items were in stock and my order would be treated promply and as urgent - it wasn't and I received no further communication. I chased up after a week and the order was still at the processing stage and they could not even tell me when it would be dispatched or why there was a hold up - NO MANAGERS WOULD SPEAK TO ME although the customer service rep was sincere & called me back when she said she would but could offer no help. I cancelled my order and am awaiting a refund! |

The product was shown as "in stock" and quoted an expected delivery in 2-5 working days. I ordered it on the Sunday and thought it therefore had a good chance of being delivered by the following Saturday (as that's within 5 working days). By the Wednesday it was still showing as "processing". I emailed them to ask why it hadn't yet been dispatched and got a stock reply saying they expected it to be despatched later in the week. No explanation as to why an "in stock" item hadn't yet been despatched was offered. The item remained "processing" until the following Monday 10th, when the item changed to "despatched". 3 days later (on the Thursday 13th) it was delivered. This item was "in stock" but actually wasn't despatched until 10 days later.... |

Horrendous shopping experience, never again! Camera developed a fault, which Sony agreed would be covered uinder warranty but to send it to Purely gadgets 1st- did this. After 2 weeks, Purely G said they would not cover it under their warranty &to contact Sony. Their quote for repair was more than the cost of a new camera!!! This camera has never been travelling or been exposed to any real wear/tear! I told them to return it to me. Its been 5 weeks now, and I'm still waiting to get back a camera they haven't even repaired. They also cannot tell me what's wrong with it- they can only tell me what's wrong if I pay for the repair! They say I should have had it back this week, but seems they have posted it to the wrong address. I phoned up in frustration to speak to the person I've dealt with so far to get things resolved and was told I can only email her. In the meantime, my son learnt to walk 2w ago and we've missed it all. Wouldn't even buy a memory stick from these people. |

I cancelled my order for a Sony A350 camera after waiting two weeks for the items to be disptached. During this time I was first told that they were awaiting more stock (despite the item being shown as in stock), and later that the delay was due to them being exceptionally busy. Getting through to customer services was impossible - the line frequently went dead on getting through, apparently due to them "rebooting their server". Overall a very poor experience, made worse by the fact that it was frequently not possible to talk to anyone from Purely Gadgets to find out what was going on. |

I am delighted and surprised but my order for a Panasonic HDC-HS100 Camcorder was delivered Friday morning at 09.50 – that is less than 2 full days since placing the order. Excellent service and very clear information provided on the progress with my order and delivery. Genuinely impressed and will be happy to recommend Purely Gadgets to others. |

"I ordered a £700 Panasonic SD100 video. Turned up with the seal cut open. After loads of phone calls they agreed to accept it back. Waited 10 days then they returned the SAME VIDEO, SAME BOX, seal broken to me. When I bitterly complained guess what they wrote .... (their exact words) "Occasionally the seal, plastic or paper packaging may be broken due to routine spot checks that we carry out for quality assurance" .... Joyce Placido. Customer Service Executive. I had to pay insured delivery both times & I just cannot get a refund from them. I am now going down the Small Claims Court route because they can't/shouldn't get away with it. Appalling service" |

My purchase(a camcorder) was initially ordered by phone on Fri. 5 Sept. in the late afternoon, as I wanted to know that I would definitely receive it in time for my holiday the following weekend. On Tues. 9 Sept. I sent Pg an email to enquire if my order had been dispatched. I received an immediate reply to say it was in the final stages of being processed and a later email advising that I should receive it the following day. My camcorder arrived before 12 noon Wed. 10 Sept. I used Pg because they offered the item I wanted at the cheapest price I could find. The service I received was first class and they were extremely helpful and obliging when I contacted them. Obviously we all try to buy things at the best possible price and should you find it here I would certainly recommend that you give Pg a try. |

I only chose to deal with Purelygadgets because of the link on Amazon's website. They sent 2 small items almost by return but the major item (a camera) took a whole month. To add insult to injury they then charged me the postage again (so that's two hits of £5.00)since they had split the order into two separate lots! They did respond to my enquiries, but they NEVER offered an explanation on a voluntary basis as to why the order was taking so long,therefore I would certainly NOT recommend them, nor will I be dealing with them again. We have checked your sales details and would like to assure you that you have paid only £5 for delivery at the point of sale, and the second parcel have been sent with no additional cost to you. Please do not touch this company with a bargepole. Ordered camera for my daughters birthday (2 days time) 2 weeks ago. Was told delivery would be in 3-4 working days. On day 5, called to check where camera was, was told it was on its way. Today called, got someone who sounded like they were on the other side of the world, with the worst mobile signal ever. Managed to establish that the "tale" was that the camera was found to be damaged on dispatch (seems a usual story from other reviews). They had no idea when they might be able to ship and suggested I ask for a refund as they would not be able to fulfill the order. The lady I spoke to told me I could speak to her manager, but he would tell me the same thing. I received no email update regarding this, and only found out when I made the call. My daughter is now without a present for her birthday, and I await a refund. Thanks SO much purely gadgets. |

I am very pleased with them. They did deliver my camera by DHL, but unfortunately, DHL lost the parcel, and after they checked with DHL, they sent me quick by UPS another camera that arrived to me in 2 days. For all is worth I would trust any time them to buy anything again, and I do trust that they will try the best to solve any problem on customer's side. Oh, and I am from Romania, so I am pleased to see that they give much attention to any customer not only to the UK ones. |

I ordered the item (Sony Battery Charger) early on the Thursday morning and received it the following Tuesday (Dispatched on the Monday), so the order dispatch was a little slow. The item though was an excellent price, a saving of £20 on the cost of buying the exact same item from the Sony Style shop. They replied to my query and I was informed of when the item was dispatched, also you can trace it's progress on their website. All in all a good shopping experience, I would use them again. |
