Strengths: Can detect which drive degrades. Promise can not but just randoming dropping HD.
Weakness: Can not autodetect Raid configuration.
Pro:
- Good product. Doesn't mess up the MBR when you delete the configuration. Promise sometime does.
- A lot of functionality.
- Detect which drive degrades at anytime and it'll start BEEPING. Promise RAID does not alert the USER unless you reboot or when you check the webspam.
Con:
- Doesn't auto add a SATA drive as JBOD. It'll start BEEPING until you enter to the BIOS and add a new configuration.
- Doesn't auto remove a SATA in the BIOS when you remove the hotswap. You'll have to wipe out all the config and restart again.
