DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE !!!!!!!!!!! They are bait and switch artists ! After ordering, I had to call to get the TV sent. The call was a ruse for high pressure sales of warranty programs that I never buy. The agent wouldn't take no for an answer. Then he increased the advertised shipping, indicating that the price on line was for commercial drop, not residential The increased cost was $300. I cancelled the order, and had to hang up as he wouldn't go away ! LEARN From this ! Retailer Response (05/17/2006): As quoted from our company policy: "The shipping rates quoted on our website are an estimated charge for commercial shipping to your location. Due to the complexity of quoting a separate shipping charge for each plasma we are only able to put an estimated price for that category. Our Sales staff will contact you to confirm your order and your adjusted shipping charge. Commercial shipping includes delivery of the plasma to your door. For in-home delivery you need to order a residential delivery from our sales staff when your order is confirmed. " There is no bait and switch here. |

I have purchased a minolta dimage Z6. I had already purchased it from three other web sites to find out days later that it was out of stock. Some of the web sites did not even notify me, they waited for me to call with the question, "where is my camera?". The customer service at Rainbow Tronics are very pleasant. They made sure my camera was in stock and it will be shipped tomorrow. THANKS RAINBOW TRONICS>>>>>>A+++++ |

Took a couple of days for them to get the package out, but they did have the most attractive price and I was not in any hurry. They were nice over the phone, and sent exactly what I ordered. I would use these guys again. When ordering they kept me up to date on the status via e-mails, tracking numbers were sent as soon as the product was shipped. |

Complete bait and switch on the advertised S&H. I ordered a 60" Sony TV advertised for under $3000 and S&H for $199. The vendor calls me back and informs me that the advertised S&H was for "commercial shipping" and that "residential shipping" would cost an additional $499 bringing the total to just under $3700, which is more than other online vendors. Same old bait and switch as other users indicated. Got my eyes on a Nikon D200. List price with free shipping is a good deal. Contacted me after order was placed to add additional charges for "Handling and Insurance" of $165. What a scam. The customer service agent told me that people will be laughing at me if I don't buy from him. Retailer Response (05/17/2006): This seems to be a complete mix up. It is not possible for there to be an insurance charge of $165. Shipping for the Nikon D200 is completely free - their are no additional charges. |

That's ridiculous. Retailer Response (05/17/2006): This is not possible. We do not cancel orders unless we receive a request from the customer. The product you had ordered is in stock and we can re-instate your order and ship it out immediately if you like. We can also upgrade your shipping method for no additional charge. |

Terrible experience! After I submitted the order (with all pertinent info), I got an email to contact them. After three attempts and some 25 minutes of waiting, the associate tried to persuade me to buy additional accessories. He was very pushy and condescending. Finally, he decided to cancel my order and told me to call if I change my mind. It doesn't get any worse than this. Retailer Response (05/17/2006): Our managemnet will be looking into this matter. They will be checking the call recordings and will take necessary actions. |

I ordered a brand new factory fresh camera and when i received it, the camera was in an open box. The warranty card was also missing. I did not expect this as i wanted a sealed box. I have spoken with the customer service and they did not help me in giving a sealed piece. I will never shop again with rainbowtronics. Retailer Response (05/17/2006): The camera we had shipped is brand new and never used. Since Harsha Tadiparthi did not feel comfortable with our response we offered compensation. We had shipped 2 items: 1. Small Digital Case 2. 2500 Mah AC/DC Rapid Charger with Rechargeable Batteries Combined these items have a retail value of $119.98. After this Harsha Tadiparthi had informed us that he would be happy with his purchase. |

I found one of the lowest price at rainbowtronics.com for Cannon sd600. But, I saw the order status was to contact an agent at rainbowtronic.com. At first I was wandering what happened, am my order going through or what. But, after caling the agent the order status quickly got updated. |

Very good, i was informed that the camcorder that i ordered would be shipped today and i would received it in 7 to 10 days by ups for a total of $ 519,00 inc shipping, a good price and they were helpful on things i may need for my new camcorder. |

The price was great, and the ordering was easy. I did receive an e-mail to contact a sales agent after I placed my order and I did that. He was not very friendly. It seems they do that to try and get you to upgrade your shipping. That was not a great experience, but I received my package and had a good overall experience. |

Experienc was just as deceitful as others have stated. They threw a new one at me by wanting me to write positive comments about the "buying experience" prior to shipping the product. They offered some small "trinkets" to do so. So desperate for good comments that they try to bribe you, all while leaving you unsure if they were ever going to ship your merchandise! I gave good feedback just to get them to ship my product & I am glad to ease my conscience with this 2nd opportunity! Retailer Response (05/17/2006): All of these accusations are completely false. All that we do is provide a link to our shoppers to rate their experience with us whether the rating be good or bad. Either way we ship the order. A good review is not required to have your order shipped! |
