How to extend the life of the bulb?

Discussion of Panasonic LCD Projector Replacement Lamp

Posted 1 year ago - Hi there, I just had to replace the original bulb I got close to 1200 hours on it, very disappointing. I ordered the new one from Japan for about $300/US best price I could find. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone knew what would be the ideal settings for getting an extended life on the bulb: - better to have dynamic iris turned "on" or "off"? - should the fan mode be high or low? - is it bad to turn off the main power switch on the back of the projector? What exactly is "economic" mode I see reference to in the reviews? Thanks in advance if anyone can help and hopefully you all are getting a longer lamp life from your Panasonic. Thanks, Roberto
