I ordered a Mandolin online on 11/28 but I got two emails with 2 separate order #s & tracking #s but only wanted one. When I called they said they would cancel one of the orders - said this happened a lot lately. By 12/3 Sam Ash recalled BOTH shipments. When I called there was no answer except when the first one got back they would ship it out 2-day air at no charge. It was supposed to ship back to me on 12/5. On Monday the 8th, I called and they had no record of a re-ship. Wanted to know if I wanted to order another replacement. I talked to a Sales Manager (James) on 12/8 who called after the credits were issued and asked to re-order from them when he said he'd ship it next-day air. When I called the next morning and asked for the tracking # they said it never shipped because the order was in a pending payment status and a 3rd party would be calling in 1-2 days to re-check the credit card information they recorded. So 12 days after the order was placed - still nothing. |

Sam Ash makes its employees tell you they will not charge your card unless the item is scheduled to ship, but this is not remotely accurate. I still have yet to be credited for items which never shipped from an order on April 4th 2008. Today is May 22nd. SAM ASH can KISS MY A**. I will never do business with them again. I am a Pro Drummer who took his business locally. I have spent over 6k since leaving SA and I am very happy. |

Bad business practices .... will not fully refund defective items.... Manager was rude and unhelpfull on the phone ... Web site is hard to use... You cannot status or review your orders. |

I placed an order for an IbanezRG321MH which was listed as in stock, also upon ordering it was clearly posted that my credit card would not be billed until my item shipped. The next day I called to check on my order just to make sure it would ship on Monday because I ordered on a Friday. They inform me that the guitar is out of stock that there is a glitch in the system. I promptly cancelled my order. He then tells me my credit card will be credited in 72 hours. I said wait a minute, your website clearly says that I will not be charged until the item is shipped. He then apologizes and claims that they charged my card because they thought they had the item in stock, and there is nothing he can do it will still take 72 hours to get my money back. So regardless of what the website says they will charge your card immediately even if they don't have the item you ordered. |

I ordered a Yamaha 13X6.5 Musashi Snare drum. The next day I received a notification that the order had shipped along with a fed ex tracking number. 5 days later it was on my doorstep. Shipping was free, and quick! Sam Ash Rocked on this order! |

I ordered a small power conditioner, gooseneck lamp, and a backpack for my gear. Customer service was excellent at answering my pre-sales questions, and Sam Ash even beat the competitors' prices! I scored free shipping on the order, and everything arrived safely and in perfect shape. My sales rep was also very easy to reach, and stood behind the order. This was an excellent shopping experience, and I look forward to doing more business with them! |

Ordered a keyboard kit from Sam Ash, but did not find out that it was on backorder until the confirmation screen came up. There is no way to cancel orders online, so I called the customer service number. That number is automated, asking first if you know the 4-digit extension of the person you are trying to reach...which of course no new customer would. When I waited on the line as the message suggested, I got four rings before being disconnected...twice. On the third call-back, I finally entered a dummy extension (0000) and was connected with an operator. Horrible customer service. Take your business elsewhere. |

I purchased a keyboard amp from them which was back ordered and they told me 2 weeks which ended up being 4 weeks. I pick it up, see a couple of holes in the box but disregard them only to find out when I got home there was a hole in the keyboard amp. Returned it and got another one in a box with holes, we checked it out before leaving. Got home, it wouldn't work, a friend got it to work but plugging in headphones into all the jacks. It must have been dropped a couple times because it has bad distortion and I will be returning it for a refund. They've got great retail stores but they ship out damaged products in deplorable cardboard boxes. |

Shipped wrong part. Agreed to ship replacement but said it would take 2-3days to ship and then another 5 days to receive. Would not ship any faster and refused to let me talk to his manager... would not even give me his name. |

They suck i order I would never order anything from them again. I ordered 2 speakers the site said in stock I received 1 speaker it was open the box was old and in bad shape. The speaker new comes in a sealed bag no bag 2 of the corners were crushed and one of them had rust on it I order a new speaker they offer me $25 this was a $650 order. They said we are taking a hit for the shipping them what about me I have to take this big speaker to a fed ex and ship it back They did the wrong thing |

Good company. Too bad about the 500 word limit, because I had a great experience to report about the customer service from this company. To make a long story short, customer service went beyond the call of duty to fulfill a promise to have the product to me by a certain date. This, combined with their great 0% financing will make me a return customer. |
