Great value

Strengths:

Accurate and consistent, fairly well built, fat % tracking is nice

Weaknesses:

Accessing user profiles can be inconvenient. No automatic power on.

Posted Mar 30, 2008 - Very accurate and consistent in measurements. I also quite like the ability to track fat %, but unless you're exercising a lot or losing weight, doesn't do much to track it over time. It's necessary to turn this on via button (and ideally off, too, though it will shut off automatically if left idle). Not hard to bump with one's toe though. Biggest downside is the need to bend down to access user profile buttons in order to track weight or fat % over time. It's not necessary to do so simply to weight oneself though. Overall, very happy, especially after dealing with inconsistent scales elsewhere over the years. Very happy with the Omron scales I've encountered so far.

Omron Fat Loss Monitor with Scale

Strengths:

great scale, accurate value for weight, BMI etc.

Weaknesses:

a little bit expensive

Posted Mar 14, 2008 - This is my first fat loss monitor. I purchased it from Amazon.com one month ago and it cost about $40. The weight measurements are very accurate. I am satisfied with this monitor till now. I can get my BMI and weight each time and the product can memorize the recent four measurements. I didn’t try to use other fat loss monitor and I cannot campare it with other product.

The Scale Doesn't Lie

Strengths:

Large, easy to read display. Straightforward to use.

Weaknesses:

The fat percentage readings seem to fluctuate sometimes. May induce feelings of guilt.

Posted Jan 15, 2008 - This scale is great - it has memory slots for four different people (height/sex, for BMI calculations) Easy to use, and remembers your last reading for easy comparisons. I would recommend it over other digital scales I've used, and its price is very good for all it does. A great value.

Omron Fat Loss Monitor With Scale Model Hbf-400

Strengths:

Consistant readings. Multiple users for families.

Weaknesses:

Power switch is a little touchy if you place it in a cabinet like I do. I am not sure of the BMI indexing but it says I am a fat boy which hurt my feelings.

Posted Oct 14, 2007 - The unit makes consistant readings within .1 lbs if nothing was eaten or drinks consumed during the day. Make sure your correct used setting prior to placing on the floor. You will have to bend over to push the user button but the power can be bumped with your toes for on/off easily. I bought this for accurate weight readings which it does extremely well. I am not into the BMI reading and fat percentages but I am guessing it could be used as a decent reference if you are on a weight loss program.

None that I have noticed so far

Posted May 21, 2007 - Like the product a lot, clean looking and nice and stable, not like other scales Ive purchased that would easily break and stop working after a while. So far having no problem with the item.
