I first purchased a DVD drive from scan and had no problems. It was delivered on the day agreed. I then felt quite confident about placing a more substantial order. What a mistake that was. I ordered a CPU, Motherboard and Memory,which came to several hundred pounds, all items were in stock. I placed the order on a Monday night and was told they could be delivered on the Wednesday. As I could not arrange for someone to be there I changed it to Thursday. On Wednesday night at about 8.30 I received an email from scan telling me there was a delay for my order. What use is an email the night before your delivery when you have already made the arrangements to have someone there to receive it. I see scan has had good reviews and I would have given them the same if I had only had the one order. Try them a few times though and you might not have such a high opinion of them |

I don't understand the low reviews below. This is the best company I have ever dealt with. They could not do enough to help me and the end result (An Isotope iX system) is the best PC I have ever owned or used. In a time when customer service is seen as an add on SCAN are bucking the trend and basing their entire business model on it. I cannot reccomend them highly enough! |

I have over the last few months purchased several items from Scan. There prices have been the best I have found and the service has been faultless. CONS: Like all large internet retailers deliveries can sometimes be delayed slightly subject to stock levels. This can be avoided if you call to ask for stock availability before ordering. I dont know of any company that updates there stock levels on there website in real time. PROS: The price, free technical support and service far outweighs the cons Paul |

What can I say - what a great company. I'm not one for selecting the best rating across the board but these guys and gals deserve it. Easy to use website. Great feedback from customer service when items are out of stock, replacement arranged to ensure the Saturday delivery which arrived bang on time. Got all the bits for a great gaming rig at a bang on price - if you're wondering whether to order from them - just do it! |

The service i received from scan has been first class from the beginning of choosing the system to it being delivered on my doorstep. The system arrived well packaged, and upon opening, i was like a child at xmas. The build quality is superb, and the performance is staggering. I would not hesitate to recommend scan to any of my friends and family. |

Scan When I made my order I carefully checked that the items were in stock, but now they aren't sending me ANY of them since none of them are in stock - please explain to me why I paid extra for express delivery??? I find it criminal and wrong for a company to say they have stock, let you order and then more than 24 hours later send a message saying that they have "temporary stock shortages" and a new delivery time of over a week later. WHAT KIND OF SCAM IS THAT? Critical equipment will now arrive late costing my company face and money. Perhaps Scan are a good company if they have the stock in - but I personally wont be taking that risk again. I will edit this review should a miracle happen, but right now they've left me in a very difficult position. |

10 out of 10! Amazing service from the point of ordering, through the excellent communication (via text and email) at each stage of the dispatch, right up to delivery four days later! And guess what else? The best price anywhere on the net! The speakers I ordered on the Saturday arrived boxed and well protected at my home on the following Tuesday. They were in pristine condition and work perfectly. The whole process from ordering to receiving is an exceptionally well conceived and equally brilliantly executed affair which made me aware at all times of the stage my order had reached, and even seamlessly redirected me via a simple hyperlink to the carriers' own website when the order has left Scan's own warehouse, thus allowing me to further track my package. Not only that, the date quoted on this site was exactly the date that I took delivery. Faultless in every way, I will definitely use Scan Computers again and I recommend their service to anyone who might otherwise doubt the |

I ordered a NAS and internal harddrive from Scan via their website, which was very easy to do and clearly laid out. The items arrived 2 days later by courier to my work address, after getting email and txt updates at each stage of delivery. After setting up, the hard drive seemed to develop a fault, so i contacted Scan support who were awesome. They collected it from my work the next day, I got an email the next day confirming the fault, and a new drive was with me 2 days after that. Unbeatable. |

I recently purchased a product from Scan computers. Not only was the price of the item half that of other sellers, but the service received was exceptional. There was a technical glitch with the authorisation process, which took half a day or so to get sorted - The assistance provided by Scan to overcome this was brilliant. Despite this delay, my purchase arrived one day earlier than expected. I would highly recommend Scan to any considering a purchase. Well done Scan. |

I recently purchase a motherboard / CPU / Monitor and HDD from Scan.co.uk from never used them before but after the excellent service, being kept up to date on order progress (Invoice printed / Payment authorised / Order picked / Order despatched and the tracking number to let me know when to expect delivery), very fast service and getting exactly what I ordered all delivered in working condition and very well wrapped I will be using them again. |

I have ordered many items from scan over the past year, and find them to be reliable and prompt with their deliveries. Only once did i have an issue with this retailer, when ordering parts from them to build a dual xeon system i received two cpu's which did not match appropriately for the system to boot due to error at scan's end, however one phone call later i had an RMA number, and within a week, the parts had been replaced, they sent a courier to collect the defective parts from me free of charge on the next working day. Their shipping system keeps me informed of purchases i have made, and sends me text messages to my mobile when the items are shipped -- very useful. All in all, i would recommend this retailer. |

After I ordered from Scan I then read a previous review and became concerned about what quality of service I would receive. Well in my case the service I had was faultless. When I ordered online it stated a delivery date 2 days later which was when the item was delivered. I was kept in touch via automated emails on the various stages of the process up until the time the order was shipped from Scan along with a courier tracking number. I only ordered 1 item and it was in stock, but from my own experience I received an excellent service and would purchase from them again. |

Please don't buy from Scan. Their customer services agents are rude and unresponsive. I've spent over 3 hours on hold over two days. When I asked to speak to a manager, I was told that "he doesn't take calls". I also heard agents making derogatory remarks in the background. This should not be necessary except the staff need to be babysat to ensure products are shipped. In one of my orders I was waiting for five items that were subsequently shipped to another customer who placed their order after mine (the following week). Another item was out of stock(in stock when I ordered). I was given a lead time of 2-5 days, which became 7, then 8, then 9 only to be not available at all. On another item, I was told it would be dispatched immediately, yet 5 days later the purchasing manager wasn't even aware that he should have ordered it. I placed several orders over two weeks, of which only one has arrived intact. The minimum value of orders was �129.84, but typically they were �300+. |
