So far so good...

Strengths:

Very quick, duplex scanning (at the same time), OCR software is nice

Weaknesses:

lack of TWAIN drivers, a bit expensive

Posted 1 year ago - I have scanned several hundred pages so far without any problems. The scanner is rather basic, with only a single "scan" button on the actual device. Since it doesn't have TWAIN driver support, it lacks the ability to interface with other programs. Overall, the resolution is good (and adjustable). The thing I like the most is the ability to duplex scan color pages within a matter of seconds.

Great Scanner

Strengths:

This is a quick little scanner with a small footprint. We have one on every desk in our small law office and we are going paperless with the help of these machines.

Weaknesses:

Installation was a bit tricky the first time. Follow the instructions carefully.

Posted 1 year ago - We use the scanners daily and they work great. Minimum paper jams and small footprint. We are greatly reducing the amount of paper we carry at our office and being able to work from anywhere and still be able to access the entire file is a goldmine. We have one on each desk and the employees follow the paperless guidelines and bust through a lot of paper in a single day with these scanners.

Best Scanner I Have Ever Owned

Strengths:

Fast, reliable, does not jam easily, auto-straightens images, can scan different sizes in the same stack, convenient one push button, duplex color is fast

Weaknesses:

Sometimes scans in black and white on color pages - not sure why. Appears to have an auto-contrast function and sometimes pages have too much contrast and sometimes not enough.

Posted 1 year ago - I have owned many flat bed scanners over a couple of decades and several fast sheet fed types in the last few years--some rather expensive and all ranked as exceptional. This one is by far the best one I have ever owned. I just got done scanning in three large lateral files full of important documents. Must have been several thousand sheets since I filled up 3 garbage bags full of shreaded paper. The scanner never overheated or gave me any problems whatsoever through endless hours of scanning. I'm planning to purchase two more of these, one for each of my two offices.
