warrentsratton - (September 22, 2004) I have used my Canon 8400f for several days now and am extrememly pleased with this purchase. I got it to replace an older canon scanner and have not been disappointed. The scanner and software are very easy to use and make great quality scans out of the box. The slide and negative attachments make it really easy to make great scans from your older photo collections. The dust and scratch removal features also make for really clear scans. I really love the ability to scan directly into PDF format. Overall, I love this scanner!

thoward232 - (December 25, 2004) I am a photoshop user. I was looking for a replacement scanner. I have a broken HP scanner that is 6 or so years old. Was looking for a replacement after it stopped working. Was unimpressed by the local big computer store's HP scanners. Came looking to good ol pricegrabber and did a sort by ratings. These reviews were very helpful. Was looking to get a scanner for archiving old photos and documents. This seemed like it had all the features. I got it shipped from CDW. Came next day fast shipping (I live in IL 4 hrs from warehouse which helps). I was a like little kid at Christmas, litteraly. Easy setup. Install all the software (except arcsoft which is unnecessary as I own photosh

Spiderman II - (September 22, 2004) This film scanner is definitely a high quality scanner, and I'm happy I bought it. However, it takes a long time to scan with Digital Ice, and the results need to be tweaked on pretty much each image to get the best results. Many of my images come out a bit blurry, but that could possibly be that the original picture was a bit blurry. Digital ICE and GEM tend to add additional blur to images. But without them you can see the grain and imperfections come through. After I have more experience with the many enhancement features, I think I will be able to scan images faster and get better results. The software will crash if you try to perform edits to multiple images of the film stri

5 Star Review Amazing Value and Speed

ThatsAGoodDeal - (08/04/2009) I bought this scanner with Amazon Prime about a week ago. Installation takes 5-10 minutes and it is exceptionally easy to use. The quality of the scans are amazing and the speed with which it scans both the front and back (3 seconds) is beyond anything that I have ever used. No more re-inserting a stack of papers to scan the back of double-sided statements. This scanner was an upgrade from a flatbed scanner I had with an automatic document feeder that only did 4 pages per minute. What a phenomenal upgrade for not much more! This scanner does 20 ppm but it is understated because it can do front and back at 20 ppm...so if you do the math, its really 40 ppm implicitly. After reading reviews on both Amazon and Newegg, I decided to buy this scanner and now I want everyone to know what a great deal it is. I was able to scan through a motley crew of about 30 statements in less than an hour. That same amount of work would have taken me hours. Thanks to all the other people that posted reviews and I hope this review convinces you that this is the right scanner for you. For those of you who are worried that this scanner might be too complicated, don't worry. You simply install the software and push a button the scanner to scan. Its something I would recommend for computer users of any age, even my 60-year old parents!

4 Star Review Scanmaker s400 revisited.

Bronzscan - (08/01/2009) I have a new passion called lomography. Basically this is the art of using low tech cameras, like my (Diana f+) to capture everyday life or objects in a surreal or dreamlike image. The camera uses 120 size film, and sometimes light leaks or strange color accidents add to the mystique of the image. Anyway, I use this Lightlid 35 plus to scan my negatives and it works great. It is not made for 120 size film, so I simply position the strip between two normal 35mm slides and it works just fine. Love this scanner!

4 Star Review Good Scanner For The Price

S L Finkey - (03/21/2009) The CanoScan LIDE 100 Flatbed Scanner works well with plenty of options to do a good job for home users. It's a little slow to scan, but that can be overlooked for the price.
