warrentsratton - (September 22, 2004) I have used my Canon 8400f for several days now and am extrememly pleased with this purchase. I got it to replace an older canon scanner and have not been disappointed. The scanner and software are very easy to use and make great quality scans out of the box. The slide and negative attachments make it really easy to make great scans from your older photo collections. The dust and scratch removal features also make for really clear scans. I really love the ability to scan directly into PDF format. Overall, I love this scanner!

thoward232 - (December 25, 2004) I am a photoshop user. I was looking for a replacement scanner. I have a broken HP scanner that is 6 or so years old. Was looking for a replacement after it stopped working. Was unimpressed by the local big computer store's HP scanners. Came looking to good ol pricegrabber and did a sort by ratings. These reviews were very helpful. Was looking to get a scanner for archiving old photos and documents. This seemed like it had all the features. I got it shipped from CDW. Came next day fast shipping (I live in IL 4 hrs from warehouse which helps). I was a like little kid at Christmas, litteraly. Easy setup. Install all the software (except arcsoft which is unnecessary as I own photosh

Spiderman II - (September 22, 2004) This film scanner is definitely a high quality scanner, and I'm happy I bought it. However, it takes a long time to scan with Digital Ice, and the results need to be tweaked on pretty much each image to get the best results. Many of my images come out a bit blurry, but that could possibly be that the original picture was a bit blurry. Digital ICE and GEM tend to add additional blur to images. But without them you can see the grain and imperfections come through. After I have more experience with the many enhancement features, I think I will be able to scan images faster and get better results. The software will crash if you try to perform edits to multiple images of the film stri

4 Star Review Good Scanner For The Price

S L Finkey - (03/21/2009) The CanoScan LIDE 100 Flatbed Scanner works well with plenty of options to do a good job for home users. It's a little slow to scan, but that can be overlooked for the price.

5 Star Review I bought a 2nd one

dartanion1600 - (03/11/2009) I'm using it in my law office to go semi-paperless office, this is one of the best quality scanners for its speed and price range. 40 ppm at 200 dpi, 30 ppm at 300 dpi. Twain and ISIS drivers. Paper Port bundled with it is a nice plus. I bought a 2nd one.

5 Star Review Best Scanner I Have Ever Owned

proeye - (03/01/2009) I have owned many flat bed scanners over a couple of decades and several fast sheet fed types in the last few years--some rather expensive and all ranked as exceptional. This one is by far the best one I have ever owned. I just got done scanning in three large lateral files full of important documents. Must have been several thousand sheets since I filled up 3 garbage bags full of shreaded paper. The scanner never overheated or gave me any problems whatsoever through endless hours of scanning. I'm planning to purchase two more of these, one for each of my two offices.
