Posted Aug 17, 2007 - I bought this product with my new laptop. From my past experience with these kind of products (Norton Internet Security, McAfee Internet Security, Antivirus etc) I made a decision not to install this product directly on my machine. Instead I decided to install in virtual environment and see how it performs. This software is one stop shop like Norton internet Securty: Antivirus, Firewall, Spyware protection, network monitoring but like others this is also resource hogger. Make computer slow. PC-Cillin products are usually better than competitors product but this 2007 version is not. Old version is better. its easy to use and installion is simple. I would recommend uninstalling or disabling all other firewalls, antivirus, spyware programms and then install this software. I persoanlly with only prefer to use Antivirus and spyware protection and nothing else on my machine.

Trend Micro 2007: still good but some problems

Posted Feb 8, 2007 - Have used PC-Cillin for several years now after having frustrating problems with McAfee and NAV. Like PC-Cillin a lot and would not return to either of the other programs, even though the 2007 version of PC-Cillin does seems a little buggier than past versions. For example, it had a software compatibility problem with Spy-bot. It also seems to use more system resources. Was able to trouble-shoot these issues without too much pain.

A good choice for internet security

Posted Sep 9, 2007 - I like this product very much for its price. Compare with the other security software, if offers a reasonable price and provide sufficient services for a home internet security. Especially, this software works with both windows vista and xp, and that is excellent. I don't need pay twice. Also, it seems not slow down your computer like other antivirus software does. Last, it's an easy-handling software with not so many troublesome setups.

Great Security for a Great Price

Posted Feb 21, 2007 - I am not a techie so I asked two trusted friends for a recommendation: one who "plays" with computers obsessively for fun & as a hobby; and another who owns & runs a computer business for over 10 years. Both recommended PcCillin.

I like the product overall, but its not perfect. M ...

Posted Feb 12, 2007 - I like the product overall, but its not perfect. My NIS 2005 blocked videos from various news organizations, no problem with PCCillian. But there are some sticking points I hope to solve in the next days or weeks. In 40 minutes time, my only feedback from the product was it was inspecting my 2MB outgoing msg ( I have a 2x T1 speed DSL line ) ... Later I realized I'd inadvertently sent about 20 copies out. Since install the keyboard has occasionally stopped functioning (mouse ok). Reboot fixes. Haven't reported the problem yet. Am dealing with the more serious issue of email transmission. Haven't heard back after 24 hours, but am not concerned at this point.

PC-cillin Internet Security 2007 3U Pk is a good product

Posted Jan 24, 2007 - After comparing many of the current anti-virus suites, Trend Micro is definitely one of the best. Norton Anti-virus has been getting worse every year and most of the other suites get horrible user reviews, so there is not too much choice available. PC-cillin has been a mostly pleasant experience. Some of the options are difficult to find in the UI, but you rarely need to use the UI, so that is a minor issue. Also, there are many popus warning saying that some program is trying to access the internet or change a system setting. I have no idea which button to press on the popup window and I am a software engineer, thus they could work on ease of use.

PC-Cillin Rocks

Posted Apr 1, 2007 - Excellent customer service. Does not take up resources. Easy to install. Easy to update. Unlike ZoneAlarm, PC-Cillin operates invisibly and easily. Just install and forget about it. Highly recommended.

A security suite worth buying

Posted Aug 24, 2007 - This security suite is actually reasonable enough on system resources to be a pretty good choice for someone who wants a turn-key bundle. While most suites that have tried are overly heavy on system resource, this one does better. It might not be quite as good as getting the best-of-breed parts, but it is a pretty good substitute, I think. Trend Micro is a lesser known name in the security biz, but I have used their antivirus products on and off for some time, and they seem quite solid. Over all, if you are looking for a solid security suite and can deal with a few rough edges, you should check this one out.

Works effectively in the background

Posted Mar 12, 2007 - I owned the previous version of this product and was very happy with its performance, and when it came time to renew there was no other choice to be made! I like the 3-user pack. Myself and my wife's computer is protected, as is my sisters in the UK - worldwide coverage! Have had no problems and would highly recommend this product to anyone in the market for anti-virus protection.

Adquate PC protection

Posted Nov 23, 2007 - I tried this software briefly, the installation is easy and user interface is reasonably friendly, and it doesn't take up as much resource as Norton (although it still takes up more more resources than I would prefer). However it missed a few minor threats that Kaspersky was able to pick up. This is a reasonably good software if you could get it free after rebate, which happens often at various Brick and Mortar office supply stores.

PC-cillin in, Zonealarm suite out !!!

Posted Oct 18, 2007 - This is replacing ZoneAlarm suite. My old virus protection software had a TSR called vsmon.exe that slowed my PC down miserably. PC-cillin does as good or better job without the resource drain.

Posted Sep 9, 2007 - Not sure I care for the pop ups and the level of annoyances with regard to the notices as I access sites that must have soe sort of joke program,or other sort of security issues. I would rather it just do the job and let me to my internet surfing

Cheaper and Secure Software

Posted Aug 7, 2007 - I needed an antivirus and firewall and I did not what product to buy. Many brands are expensive whcih I cannot afford so I found this product free after rebate. Threfore, I decided to try it. Finally, it is good. It updates daily and protect the computer at real time. Its interface could be confuse because I familiar with other product. However, it comes with its manual. In addtion, You can install it in 3 PC's. I saved money. I installed in my PC, laptop and my friend's PC.
