Perfect for basic sewing, mending, crafting, and scrapbooking projects, this lightweight, portable sewing machine comes with 10 built-in stitches, each with multiple stitch functions. Strengths:

Low cost, manual controls, light wieght.

Weaknesses:

Zig-Zag does not work. On line help does not over what it should.

Posted 1 year ago - Machine works great as long as I keep it in the strait stick. The first time I tried to use the zig-zag it jams and breaks the thread. The manual and on-line customer service dose not cover much to help its customer.

Not a long laster

Strengths:

This machine is light weight, portable, easy to use and understand

Weaknesses:

If you sew more than occassionally this machine breaks down in the tension, especially upper, quickly.

Posted 1 year ago - I have really enjoyed my machine, it was my first and a gift from my family and we have made many wonderful things together. Unfortunately the upper tension started becoming looser, then it went downhill quickly, until it stranded me with entire seams of loops in the middle of a project with the tension wheel maxed out. I would recommend it for casual sewers or beginners.

Great sewing machine

Posted 1 year ago - I never used sewing machine before I bought this machine. The instruction is very clear. I followed the user instruction to set up the machine without any problem. I can start to practice to use this machine in short time. This is a great sewing machine for a beginner like me.

A good sewing machine for a first timer

Strengths:

lightweight, easy to use, a decent machine for the price

Weaknesses:

The tool drawer of the machine is not convinient to use. I can't say it was designed well.

Posted 1 year ago - I had never used a sewing machine before I bought this one. I only intended to do mending and small simple projects. So I did some research on internet and found out Brother LS2125I was the right machine for my need. I bought it and I have been quite happy with it ever since. I read the manual carefully and followed the directions to set up the machine by myself. For a first timer, it is easy to set up, easy to thread and easy to use. I must say it is a good bargain for a basic beginning sewing machine. It has become my new toy and I enjoy using it. The machine always runs smoothly and quietly. I have done some mending and sewn some tableclothes, pillows and placemats. Sewing has become my new hobby and I love every minute of it. I highly recommend this machine for beginners like me.

Good low cost sewing machine

Strengths:

Durable plastic, Easy to follow instructions, Lightweight, Reasonable price

Weaknesses:

No digital controls, no cover to easily store cords

Posted Feb 27, 2008 - This is a great machine for the person who needs lots of straight stitching or who doesn't use a machine on a daily basis. It is easy to carry and to store and can be used almost anywhere because it's small and compact. Because of its ease of use, it's nice to just get it out for simple sewing repairs. The price is so great that it's worth getting rid of a heavy old machine and replacing it with this modern one. I've used it for a few weeks and am impressed.

this brother sewing machine is a great home applicant!

Strengths:

the price is low, the function is complete, and the use is very easy. A first user like me, can use this product easily. and can sew the buttons too! that's a great function!

Weaknesses:

for now, I can't see any flaw of this product.

Posted Feb 16, 2007 - I just bought this sewing machine for my 8 yr old daughter. Instead of waiting until Christmas and risking the possibility of a disappointed little girl I tried this machine out. I have been sewing for about 30 years and learned as a young girl myself. There is nothing more discouraging for a new sewer than a poor piece of machinery. This is an amazing machine for the money. So easy to use!!!! The auto button-hole attachments works great. I am very hard to please and I will say that I am impressed so far!!!!
