f/2 - MPN: 2520A004
Strengths: The f/2.0 aperture, speedy focus, and solid build
Weakness: No IS, but not really an issue anyway
Well, first of all, this is a 135mm lens. That means that, this is somewhat considered as a telephoto lens. If you have a Full Frame (FF) camera, this is the lens that you should seriously consider. If you are using any APS (either APS-H or APS-C) cameras, then it's going to be less meaning buying this lens as after 1.3X or 1.6X, this lens will be way too long for you. (especially if you have 1.6X camera, this lens will be like 216mm, which is super long, so it could be less useful in many cases)
What this lens is all about is that, this thing is aiming for low light indoor sports or half-up portraits. It has really nice bokeh when using larger aperture settings (ie. f/2) So if this is what you are looking for, you probably want to buy this lens.
As for myself, I use this lens primarily for outdoor portraits. It's so sharp and the picture looks so crisp! I love it!

TopStrengths: Excellent building quality. Moderate weight 750g make it portable
Weakness: Virtually none. (when used with 1.6X DSLR, the focal length becomes 216mm, a not so-convenient view angle)
Featured in 2 pieces of UD element, provides excellent optical performance. Impressive resolution, moderate contrast and color tone. It may be one of the best lens among its EF brothers. Image quality outperforms EF 70-200mm f2.8L USM. Suitable for portrait photography, beautiful background blur. The price makes it the most afforadable EF L prime lens. When compared with Zeiss lens, it will not fall behind too much. All in all, it a must-have lens for every serious amateuar or professional. You will not be disappointed with this lens.

TopStrengths: SHARP! beautiful bokeh and color, dead-on auto-focus, f/2, lightweight, small size, solid build, black body
Weakness: NONE!
Known as one of the best lens in Canon's produce line, this superb lens outperforms all its competitors. I am simply blown away by its sharpness and bokeh. Previously I used a Canon EF 85mm f/1.8 prime to take portrait, and I was very happy with it. After getting this lens, I do not pick up the 85mm any more. This lens is better in every term - sharpness, bokeh, color and contrast. It is worth every penny for the money I have paid. Auto-focus is dead-on accurate. F/2 is unbeatable for low light condition. And I like its small size and lightweight a lot - never think of those big heavy 70-200mm zooms for a single second. Built as solid as a tank, and best of all, it is black!

TopStrengths: Sharp!!!Sharp!!!Sharp!!! Great Colors and Contrast!!!Excellent Bokeh!!!
Weakness: None at all, but I would like to see it comes with IS. The lens hood is awkward to carry around.
I bought it for my Canon 40D. No regret at all. It is pretty sharp and focuses really fast. It is very well built but not as heavy as the 85mm F1.2L. It is one of the least expensive “L” lenses. It takes time to get used to the 1.6X crop if you use it with none-full frame body. But don’t worry about the focus. It is fast and accurate. The color is so rich and you will think the image is taken from a German lens. It suites the need for indoor action sports photography and portrait. Although 70-200mm F4.0 IS can give you more flexibility, this lens’ incredible optics makes me hard to put it down. I highly recommend it if 135mm focus range is your favorite.

The Canon EF 135mm f/2L USM is a mid-range to high-end telephoto camera lens ideal for indoor sports or portraits with background blur. Additionally, the EF 135mm f/2L USM is compatible with Canon lens Extender EF 1.4x and 2x. The EF 135mm f/2L USMs two...

Canon 135mm f/2
Strengths: Extremely sharp, Fast telephoto, Exceptional build quality
Weakness: Gives my other lenses inferiority complex
The 135/2 is amazingly sharp with beautiful color and contrast wide open, and becomes critically sharp at f/2.8, matching or beating the 70-200mm f/4 IS, which up until now was my sharpest lens. To me this lens represents the best balance between speed and reach. f/2 quadruples shutter speed vs. the 70-200, helping to freeze action. The 135mm focal length enhances subject isolation, resulting in beautiful creamy background blur. Build quality is superb - solid, all metal with beautiful texture, buttery smooth focus ring, oh and that gorgeous front element! Focusing, especially AI Servo, is lightning fast and silent. This lens is relatively compact, unobtrusive, and balances well on my 40D. 135mm may be the limit for handholding (amazing how much camera shake can be seen with Live View at 10X!) and ideally IS would be welcome, but not at the expense of increased weight, cost, and possible decrease in image quality. If the focal length suits you, this lens cannot be beat.
