Strengths: 21 classic games in 1
Weakness: Games are all dated
Midway Arcade Treasures is a pretty good pickup for the price. For the cost of one game, you get 21 different classics ported to the PSP. Chances are if you're a gamer who grew up in the 80's, you'll find something to love about the selection. It's great for revisiting some of the games of your youth without having to pump in endless numbers of quarters. The downside is that the games are pretty faithful renditions, which means they look incredibly dated compared to what is available today. I found it hard to play Spy Hunter without constantly wondering what I found so endearing about it when I was 10. On the plus side, also included are some rarer titles like Xenophobes and Xybots that I never thought I would get a chance to play again. This is definitely a good pickup. While none of the offerings are stellar, combined it's a good trek down memory lane.

TopStrengths: 21 "classic" games including Cyberball 2072, Defender, Joust, Klax, Mortal Kombat 1-3, Spy Hunter, Sinistar, and Wizard of Wor, wireless multiplayer support
Weakness: Various audio problems, game play orientation issues, load times, no extras
While the Midway Arcade Treasures series has graced home consoles with a variety of releases, Extended Play marks the series' first excursion on Sony's handheld system. The games themselves include a decent selection of classics along with some junk, but there are too many irritating issues with the various ports to give it a hearty recommendation.
The audio in total sounds like it's playing through a tin can. Nothing sounds quite like it should. The graphics also have issues where some titles (Joust) are stretched across the widescreen while others (Sinistar) are shrunken to a small space in the center of the screen. Thus, some games just look bad while others are made too small to see what's going on.
There are also frame rate issues where game play will suddenly speed up between load screens. The lack of any real extras or unlockables is irritating as well. Some of the games are still fun to play though, and the $10 asking price makes it easier to live with. If the developer had just taken a little more time porting these games, this collection would be much easier to recommend.

Great package for the low price!
Strengths: +Wide variety of historic Midway arcade classics +Low price +Looks great on the PSP screen +1 to 4 Multi-Player via Ad-Hoc Wi-Fi
Weakness: -Some wonky controls for particular games -Multi-player requires other players within Ad-Hoc range
Got this game for a great price, less than $15 for a new copy. Definitely a good purchase, you get over 20 classic Midway arcade games including Mortal Kombat I thru III. Multi-Player is available for 1-4 but only via Ad-Hoc Wi-Fi and each must have their own copy of the game. Some games are abit difficult to play on the PSP but all look great on the small but crystal-clear PSP screen. Overall a definite must-buy for arcade players.
