Strengths: Gameplay
Weakness: Loading time
SOCOM: Fireteam Bravo is the first installment of the SOCOM series for the PSP platform. It's very much like its PS2 counterparts, except no aiming is required since there is no second analog stick on the PSP for aiming.
Graphics is amazing and music is great. It's as good as the PS2 counterparts and gave me many hours of fun.

TopStrengths: deep and varied missions
Weakness: graphics showing it's age
Yeah, a really old title for the PSP, but a solid one. Good cooperative gameplay where you control two characters, essentially a buddy system where one guy can do one thing while the other guy does another. It becomes useful when stalking around a location.
Controls are pretty simple especially with the lock on feature using the shoulder buttons (one to lock on, one to select a target). As with most of these shooter titles, the game has what I call a training mode where you are forced into a campaign scenario to get used to how the game works and it’s controls. It’s not a bad thing, but if you’re familiar with the controls already, it might be a bit of a nuisance.
There is a bit of unlocking involved by completing missions. The useful bonuses you’ll get are upgraded weapons but that’s about it. It would have been nice to unlock more missions by completing certain additional tasks in the previous mission(s).

TopStrengths: Pretty good tactical FPS. Fun to play.
Weakness: Fairly linear gameplay. No real advantage to stealth approach.
This is your average tactical shooter type game. Not awesome, but not bad. I had lots of fun playing it. The only thing I don't like is that the maps are pretty linear, with not a whole lot of choices to make. Also, the game suggests that you take the stealth approach, but I found it easier just to "run and gun". Enemies don't respawn, so just kill 'em all and meet your objectives.

TopStrengths: Graphics are impressive for a portable device. Great online playing while sitting at an airport.
Weakness: Loading times. Weak AI.
I bought this game when it first came out. At the time, there weren't too many games of this quality graphic wise. Spent many hours playing away from the house. Great way to pass long commutes. The games now just keep getting better and better. Still, it is worth buying especially since the price has dropped significantly.

TopStrengths: Lots and lots of missions with enough variety to keep you interested for quite some time.
Weakness: In my opinion the graphics are sub-standard.
I do realize this title is a bit old now but I have only had it for three months. I found it to be pretty fun to play and I have continued to play many of the missions even after I finished the main story line. All in all I'd say it is pretty good and well made with the exception of the graphics which are a step below some of my other favorites such as Syphon Filter.

TopStrengths: similar PS2 gameplay/graphics
Weakness: auto-aiming, load times, A.I.
SOCOM: fireteam bravo is just a portable version of a PS2 SOCOM game. The biggest difference is the auto-aim feature. Since there is no second analog stick, the developers had to make-up for this absence--so no aiming required. This absence pretty much takes the fun at of the game. What's a shooting game that does all the aiming for you. The A.I. is still stupid as ever and the load times are still frustrating as with all PSP games. Overall, if you are a SOCOM fan, pick this game up.

TopStrengths: Good single and multiplayer.
Weakness: None
SOCOm is an impressive tactical shooter for the PSP. It has an engaging single player setup where you are aided by som AI-controlled team-mates. Occasionally they can act oddly but for the most part the AI is decent. The graphics are pretty good for a portable device.
But the game really shines in multiplayer. Up to sixteen can play at time on a variety of maps and in a variety of modes. The controls are okay for a portable device, they could be a lot worse. Theer are some minor flaws, but overall it's a great game for the PSP and highly recommended.

TopStrengths: Fun single player, better multiplayer, unlockables between PSP to PS2.
Weakness: Controls take some time to get used to.
It's hard to think SOCOM when there's only one analog nub. But they do a great job in making it as easy as possible. The single player in this game is very fun although I had a very very hard time with one of the missions towards the end.
SOCOM:FTB usues the auto-aim feature on both single and multiplayer modes. Now I know what you guys are all thinking about; Auto-aim on multiplayer?!?!?!?!?!? It's not that bad. You'd think it would be really easy because people would just run around shooting like crazy but it's not that easy. There are three different grenade you can use: HE Grenade, Flashbang Grenade, and a Smoke Grenade. By using these items well you can prevent dying from those players who run around and shoot.
I highly recommend this game to anyone and everyone who's willing to give the "One analog nub" control scheme a chance.

TopStrengths: Great single player, instant action mode, 16 player Infrastructure
Weakness: Learning curve for controls, low res graphics for characters and terrain
The game has very good productions values with excellent cutscenes, voice overs, sound effects and music, with it being almost comparable if not better than the console version. But the base of this game is about multiplayer and it shines with a quick online game setup and servers loaded with players to play. I have enjoyed the single player campaign but you must know that it is very long and difficult, especially on the larger maps. A must buy for any gamer with a wifi connection.

When it comes to online multiplayer gaming on the PS2 it’s clear that the SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs series, the first PlayStation game to introduce communication using a USB headset that accompanied the game, is at the top of the list for fans looking for a serious multiplayer workout. Yet at this year’s E3, the biggest surprise was that the good folks at Sony and Zipper Interactive were going...

Socom 1
Strengths: Good game plots
Weakness: Socom 2 is better buy....
If there is not Socom 2, it is good game. But compared to the latter, this is not so good. Socom 2's graphics, gameplay, and control scheme are better. In addition, those two games have the same price. Overall it is a good game, but Socom 2 is better...
