Racing Game - PSP - MPN: 014633151220
Strengths: Best Rated
Weakness: Lots of options
It is a very highly rated product. In fact it is the top rated product in it's category. Loads and loads of fun. Highly addictive, but it is the best

TopStrengths: Nice compilation of the early Burnout games
Weakness: Graphics weaker than console versions, of course. And racesonly consist of 4 players instead of 6.
Burnout Legends was an early PSP title that sitll holds up well today. It is a compilation of the best elements of the first 3 Burnout games, with most of the gameplay coming from Burnout 3: Takedown. Obviously, this means takedowns are a major element. But tracks and other gameplay modes are taken from the first 2 Burnout games as well.
As expected, the graphics take a hit from the original Playstation 2/Xbox games. More disappointing, though, is that the races consist of 4 cars (including the player) instead of the 6 in the original games. There is no online play but there is local multiplayer.
Overall, this is an excellent "best of" compilation for the early Burnout games and a nice addition to any PSP game library.

TopStrengths: It's a fast adrenaline inducing racer. Plenty of cars and tracks to unlock. The pleasure of virtual car crushing madness.
Weakness: Nothing really. Occasionally hard to see ahead of track.
Oh, this is such a fun car racing/crashing game! I've played the Burnout series on the Playstation PS2, but having a sweet portable version on the PSP is just as exhilarating on the smaller screen. No problems steering with the analog nub. Learning to brake and drift is a must.

There are so many cars and modes to unlock that it is insane to think how long Burnout Legends will last me. I'm in no rush either, but it's good to know this game has a lot to offer.
*
You basically start with nothing but a small compact car and have to work your way up to the higher end muscle cars, coupes, trucks, etc. by earning money and winning races.
*
The pick up and play aspect is a draw. Sometimes I just feel like a quick spin and crashing into rivals to work off stress. Other times I like to race around and actually admire how nice the graphics look, and take in the sense of speed you feel.
*
Whether collecting all the various types of cars, or mastering driving skills for the different objectives is your thing, there is something to peak interest at any given time.

TopStrengths: Amazing game, very involved for such a 'small' format
Weakness: None
The burnout franchise is one of the best gaming franchises in the market, and this game does not disappoint. It's fun to play, and still fun to get 100% completion. A must buy!

If you look at any reviews, you'll realize that this is the most highly regarded game for PSP racing. YES, IT IS TRUE. I think this is the best game for PSP racing out there. This game has everything... Controls, game play, car selection, and fun to play.. Highly recommended. You won't be disappointed.

TopStrengths: Great racing game, awesome graphics, CRASH mode!
Weakness: None. I don't like racing games, but I like this one.
Now that Burnout Legends is a Greatest Hits title. It's a MUST BUY at $19.99 in stores. There is another Burnout game for the PSP called Burnout Domination, but Burnout Legends has the CRASH mode. CRASH mode is where you run your car into traffic and other situations. The more damage you do, the more money you make. Burnout Domination does not have CRASH mode.
I remember playing Burnout on the Xbox when it first came out. Burnout Legends on the PSP's graphics I find to be better. Controls are fluid. Chase mode is neat too. Can't say enough good things about this game.
Go get it now!

TopStrengths: lots of variety
Weakness: none other than small screen
Really enjoying this title so far. Graphics and music are very good, controls are solid. There plenty of different modes to give this title some depth. My favorite so far is split between pursuit (as a cop) and road rage. Both gain points by smashing and running cars off the road. I’ve never been really into just timed races, but that’s there also for the speeders among you.
Overall an excellent version of Burnout from the consoles in portable form. I only wish the screen was bigger to show all of the nicely rendered backgrounds and cars (crashed, dented and mushed) in greater detail. Pick it up!

You’re racing down the narrow stretch of road that leads into a Normal Rockwell-like town that looks as peaceful as a grave … that is until a sleek and sexy muscle car just barely clips you. At the speed he was clocking he could have easily have rammed you off the road and into a ditch. How dare he do that, you say through gritted teeth. You step on the gas and you spot the same car and, as...

Way cool game!
Strengths: over 10 HOURS of gameplay. INCREDIBLE graphics for the fram rate at which it has to move
Weakness: $expensive$, gameplay might get old, and there are REALLY long abnoxiuos loading times
Ok, first off, this IS the best driving/racing/car explosion game ever and although it doesn't compare with the console versions of the game, it is still worth getting. The whole aspect of the game is that either: You drive around like a crazy man in order to win a race, you try to run as many other people off the road (also called a "takedown") within the time limit, try to go as fast as earthly possible in hopes to beat the record time of a certain course, try to drive straight into a lot of traffic and cause as much damage as possible, or try to takedown (runover) a special car and while doing it you get to be a cop! Aside from that you can also collect trophies for doing special tasks, challenge your nextdoor neighbor to a race and whoever wins can take the other persons car, or even collect cars by winning them from other people. And last, but not least, THE BEST FEATURE: you can let your pal download a demo of it so he can play against you in multiplayer!!!!! But alas, it doesn't offer the option of connect to the internet to play your buddy in Korea. It also will only let four (4) people play against each other in multiplayer. And that about sums it up for BURNOUT LEGENDS
