Strengths: The story remains true to the movie, the game looks great for the psp

Spiderman 2 for the Playstation Portable (PSP) is a decent launch title. It does a good job of showcasing the psp's ability to handle amazing graphics and sound. Another positive is that the gameplay feels smooth the the psp's controls. My biggest problem with spiderman 2 for the psp was the replay value and the level of difficulty. The game is really short (you can pass it in about 6 hours) and it will be too easy for most proficient gamers out there. This game is worthy as a rental, and only purchase this game if you're a big fan of spiderman.

Spider-Man 2 (PSP) is a decent game on a portable platform. It remains quite true to the movie. The graphics is very good and animation is fluid. The control is ok but not expect a console-like experience.
The drawback is the rather short gameplay. It has not much replay value once you've finished it.
The console version of this game is still the best in terms of graphics and gameplay. There are lots more you can do in the console version. I like it much better than the PSP or DS version.

This is one of the games when after you beat it you are really dissapointed, and you won't want to play any of the levels again. DO NOT BUY IT!

The PSP port of Spiderman 2 looks beautiful, but unfortunately it doesn't handle that way. Folks have complained about the PSP Nub, but here it really makes a difference. The controls are stiff and the game doesn't flow like it does on the standard ports (PS2 & Xbox). It is still a beautiful game and if you don't really care about the controls, then go ahead and get for (I wouldn't pay more than $20 for the game).

Spider-Man 2 for the PSP is a great example of a game customized for the system. Although it shares many attributes with the console version, this game is different enough to be worth playing.
The game follows the basic storyline of the movie, but adds in a lot of side plots that involve more of Spidey's well known enemies. There are a lot of fun boss battles in this one with such villians as the Vulture, Rhino, Mysterio, and Shocker.
The game looks very nice on the PSP and the controls are very fluid. I was hesitant to buy this game at first because I was worried that I wouldn't like the controls and the camera would be bad. Thankfully, I thought the camera did a very nice job of keeping up with the action and the controls (while not as tight as the console version) were adaquate.
This game doesn't offer the large city to explore and various side missions that the console version had, but is instead just broken down into individual levels. I think this was the correct direction to take with the portable version and each level can be completed rather quickly. This is the game's biggest downfall, since the entire game can be beaten rather quickly and there really isn't much to do after you run through the game one time.
Overall, this is a very good action game and I'd recommend it to anyone who is a fan of Spider-Man.

For a portable version of its' big brother on the home consoles, Spiderman 2 on PSP is quite a quality title. There are 19-main missions in the game and they provide a decent take on the movie's storyline as well as characters that didn't show up on the big screen. The flight around the city is quite fun but after playing the console version, I can't help but feel somewhat confined and constrained by the PSP's more scaled down city. This is a really great game and if you don't mind that it's over in about 10-hours, then it's a more then worth purchase.

Spiderman 2 is a great launch action title for the PSP. It showcases the graphical capabilities of the system quite well.
There is solid gameplay that wont bore you, and a pretty good storyline. Villians are chosen well, and the action scripting is firm. It was a little disappointing to have it end earlier than expected, but the ride was great getting there.
Definitely one of the better launch titles for the PSP, I would grab this now( or wait for the inevitable 'greatest hits' line for PSP games)

Spiderman 2 for the PSP is a great game while it lasts. You go through many short missions against a variety of opponents including classic villians from the comics. The game looks great with amazing detail for a portable. It plays well too. And the short missions are a plus for a portable because you can pick it up, play a mission, and walk away within a few minutes.
But it's also its biggest downside. There are around fifteen missions and none are that long. So we're only looking at a couple hours of gameplay at most. And once you've beat them, there's not much reason to beat them again.
This game would be good for a rental to see what the PSP can d. or if you buy it, beat it and trade it in.

This game is another EXCELLENT PSP game. It's graphics are great, and the gameplay works well on the PSP. I didn't get a PSP that came with this game and I don't regret buying it one bit. The DS version was HORRIBLE.
