I was looking for speakers for my new Compaq laptop. Compaq speakers are good, but the addition of Creative portable speakers changed all that. The sound was clear and surround mode sounds great too ! My only complaint was absence of AC adapter. There is also no option for the system to turn off automatically if you forget and this drains the batteries. It is worth its price

The Creative's Travel Sound portable stereo speaker looks great. This is the kind of speaker for which I am looking for my Sony Vaio Laptop, Its sleek design matches with my Laptop. Quality of Sound is very-2 Good. I would highly recommend to others !!!!

TopStrengths: Very compact and fashion designed. Sound quality is better than I have expected.
Weakness: No AC adapter included for this one. The battery consumes fast when at high volume. No bass either.
I connect the speaker to my laptop and listen to the music and movies. It worked very nice. Not bulky at all. Great for travel outdoor and have fun in the wild fields. No AC adaptor is needed if you have enough batteries. However, the battery goes fast if you rock the sound.
Overall, I like this travelsound mate. I appreciate the sound quality. The compact design is also very cute.

Weakness: the cord is a little short, the headphone out is not necessary.
I bought it for about 20 days. It is convient to carry. But I think the sound is a little low outside although I did not use it outside. However, for this price, it is worth.
Furthermore, you better buy the ac adater for the long time use.

I recently purchased this speaker setup to use primarily when I travel with my Ipod. When I first hooked the speakers up and turned them on, I must say I was pleasantly surprise by the sound quality. I could also notice an audible difference when I switched the "wide" switch to the "on" position. Overall these speakers are great for close proximity listening, and seem very well constructed, I would definitely purchase these speakers again.

Weakness: Titanium speaker front vibrates more and needs extra care at the front.
This Speaker is the sleekest one I ever saw with great sound. Inspite of its price, serves the segment who want travel kind of small speakers for all desktops, laptops etc. Can be dual operated either with batteries or power. The only problem is the Titanium alloy front which vibrates a lot and kids need to be extra careful !!

For the price, I can't really complain other than the light bass. You might find a better speaker solution with Altec Lansing's line of inMotions but these Creative speakers are adequate for most casual listeners who travel frequently.

Excellent for its size. Highs and midrange are great! Bass is a bit lacking. The sound clarity is remarkably good for such little speakers. The wide stereo effect works very well. Speakers really sound like they are over 2 ft apart!

Anyway,creative labs' product is always a high quality.Esp. for its speakers and headphones,comparing with other product at the same price.

These speakers have turned out to be heaven sent. They are small, so carrying them around is no problem. The volume is so nice, that while at work, I can turn up the sound and our whole tent can listen to music. Being so mobile, they come in handy because they will plug into anything. I think once my friends saw my speakers, they all want to buy one now so they can use them while they work. I recommend these speakers to anyone on the go. They are very light weight, small enough to fit in the front pocket of your backpack, and the sound quality is great for both the size and price. It also comes with a cute little bag that protects it, which works great.

Weakness: The AC adapter is not included; it's optional. It cannot play music at loud levels. The plastic package is difficult to cut open because it wraps around the speakers tightly.
It seems to be built to last. The silver finish and black plastic base for the amplifier electronics look nice. As expected, its volume level is limited, but good enough for a small room. The sound quality is not as good as the typical PC speakers but better than any laptop speakers I've heard. It can be a nice companion for travelers with a laptop or MP3 player. I'd not worry too much about the optional AC adapter; just use some rechargeable batteries. Most travelers would not lug around a heavy adapter anyway.

I think Creative's TravelSound portable stereo speaker looks great. It is so small and is easy to carry. It also has a base that opens out so it can stand and it takes up very little room. This portable speaker sounds pretty sweet. The TravelSound runs on four AAA batteries or an optional universal AC power adapter. But you must buy the AC power adapter by yourself.

This speaker is so small that I can carry it to everywhere. It works well on my portable mp3 player. The sound quality is pretty good. But the only problem for me is that the batteries get used up quickly. Overall, I think this portable speaker is good and I will recommend it to those who want to buy such kinds of products.

This is a pair of cute and small speakers which you can easily bring along with you when you are on the road. The appearance looks great, and the sound quality is fairly decent. I would recommend for the above purpose. However, if you are looking for a good pair of speakers to use at home, I would suggest you look at other places. You can find speakers within about the same price range as this one but with much better sound quality. But of course, you won't be able to tote them along then.

TopStrengths: Rich room filling sound.I used this in my kitchen.The sound is better on some computer speakers but you don't have the wires and space problems with these speakers and the sound is pretty good especially if you have the sound switch turned on.

These speakers are what you want if you have the Creative Nomad Jukebox Mp3 ipod player.They also work on portable cd,cassette players,mp3 players and radios.The sound is pretty good on these speakers and there small size is a plus over hooking up your ipod to computer speakers.You can set these anywhere and there is no wires except for the little jack you hook into your product.You can even fold these speakers to set up.I haven't had any problems with mine falling over yet.These speakers even have an enhanced sound switch.If you cut it on you can get sound that make the speakers sound like there detached for better sound.If the switch is the other way you get regular sound.This product is better than always listening only in earplugs or hooking up bulkey speakers to your ipod.You can even take your ipod and speakers in your car and you won't have to use a Fm transmitter or cassette adapter you can just put them on your car seat there so small.Batterys are suppose to last 35 hrs on this thing.I just bought mine so I can't say for sure but they are triple a not double a batteries.This even comes with a protective case to put your speakers in.Also this has a line in jack feature and also a headphone jack.

If you travel a lot, this speaker system will be a great companion to your mp3 player. For general home use, the sound quality is just so-so. I wholeheartedly recommend this product for people who want something that sounds decent and is very easy to tote around.

This is a nice portable speaker for laptops, ipods and portable devices. These will not give extra bass but will give some high quality sound. These do look nicer then the portable speakers that are made especially for the ipods. It is a bit pricy but portable speaker comes with a nice case. The problem with these is that these are battery powered. The adapter is heavy though. I would highly recommend to others!

These Travelsound speakers made by Creative Labs are just AWESOME! The sound is great for such little speakers. They run on 4 AA batteries or you can purchase the AC adapter. They even have volume controls and a 3D sound stage switch that gives the speakers a BIG sound. They make a great addition to any portable audio device.

THe speakers of my laptop were very weak. Now I can watch movies by keeping my laptop at a distance too. At very high volumne, the performance degrades. Also, the batteries get used up fast. So, use rechargeable batteries.

Weakness: Sound can get garbled at times but I guess its due to the file. This doesnt come with AC adapter and costs an additional $15+shipping @ Creative's website. Whenever they have it in stock that is.
Overall, this is a great product. You can transport this easily without a hassle and it does what its suppose to minus the AC adapter not being included.

this is a truly great product. you can not believe the amazing sound you get from such a small pair of speakers. The build quality is also very good. Installation was a piece of cake. The only thing I'm complaining is the color of the speakers is kinda old fashion and won't match that of my laptop. Well, I think I can live with that.

These tiny portable speakers are great for travelling. I have been looking for some small speakers I can carry around with me for my laptop and these were pretty decent for the price. Around 45 bucks you really cant go wrong with these!

I was looking for something to use with my minidisk recorder and my laptop. I tried small computer speakers and similar compact units. This was the best for its size. It will distort if you turn it up, but it carries enough volume for personal listening. My father, who is almost deaf, just purchased a unit for his mini-cassette recorder.
There is a similar model that is described as though it were one speaker. The pictures of it is very similar. The only difference I could see in the case is that the power light is at the bottom instead of the top. You can also tell by manufacturer's part number. It is listed as a Travelsound 200, but I don't think it is marked on the front.
The line cord could be a little longer, but if it were too long it would be harder to wrap and pack.
Folded down, the unit can lay flat on uneven surfaces. The jacks are on top so you can lay it on its back without laying it on the connectors. If you have a flat, stable surface, unfold the stand and it will face out for better sound projection.
Nice details include on/off switch so it doesn't time out while you pause. Can also be a problem if you forget to turn it off, because it will run down the batteries. Nice to have that AC adapter for long play. It has a light on the front to let you know when it "is" powered on. Lightweight case covers jacks and speakers to keep them clean, but doesn't give any protection against bumps.
Retail seems expensive, but good prices can be found on the Internet. Miniaturization costs. Quality costs.
This is not what you want for desktop computer speakers. It will not make your MP3 player a boombox. It will give you decent response in quiet settings for laptop speakers, CD player speakers, MP3 speakers, mini-cassette speakers, mini-disk speakers, or other areas where you cannot setup separate large speakers.
I would recommend this unit to anyone who needs compact speakers and understands the limitations of "miniaturization" in sound reproduction. I would also recommend that you listen to other similar units and compare before you buy. I was extremely pleased to find these speakers and after six months I still find them to be the best option for sound and convenience. Less distortion than other units, better features, more accessories included.

This little speaker system really boosts the low volume from my notbook when playing movies. I also use it at home and work to play music off my mp3 player that does not have it's own speakers.

I bought this to play music on my desktop with an Envy 24 based sound card. The speakers distort easily on bass at high volume. At low volume, it sounds okay, but that is just about the noise level of a human conversation (which is a bit low). The sound it generates is okay, but not amazing. Maybe this set of speakers is just suitable for labtops. The line out signal from my sound card maybe too high for this device.

it is a neat speaker. the sound is not very good because it is so small. But it worth the price, it is very useful for the travel people. I like it. if the quality can be improved, it will be much better.
