P7800 Creative Inspire without 7.1 sound when playing mp3 files

Posted May 13, 2007 - Please help me; I have a P7800 sound system (8 speakers)connected to a motherboard Intel DG965WH with 7.1 output. When I want to hear the sound from mp3 files through the 8 speakers, it doesn't work...I only hear the central, front and subwoofer speakers (4 in total). I use the Intel Audio Studio 2.0 software that has the Sonic Focus that can supposedly, reproduce that type of surronud sound. When a play a DVD movie, it works, but with 5.1 games and mp3 files, no. Why, if the speakers are well connected and the sound configuration (through Intel Audio Studio 2.0 software, and the sound control of the control panel)set on 7.1 ?

Discussion of Altec Lansing VS2321 2.1 Speaker System

Posted Aug 28, 2006 - I am thinking of buying the Altec Lansing VS2321 speakers. On the apple store page, all the reviews were relatively positive. On newegg, however, they were ALL negative. naturally, i headed over to pricegrabber to see their reviews, but to my dismay, there weren't. does anyone have any sort of answer to why neweggs reviews were awful, compared to the apple store ones? ill be using it on a mac, if that matters. thanks ps: anyone gotten these? are they good for their price?

Posted Jun 9, 2006 - Wonderfull reviews. I could not find any place where to buy these speakers however (not in Europe anyhow). I get the impression that Klipsch has stopped its production. Please recommend.
