Optimum Nutrition 100% Natural Whey Gold Standard (Chocolate, 5.15 lbs)

Posted 1 year ago - I have been using Optimum Nutrition 100% Natural Whey Gold Standard as a protein supplement, most often prior and post workout, for about two years. It has a natural cocoa taste that is much more subtle than other chocolate protein supplements that I have tried. It mixes easily for me using just a spoon, although I often funnel it into a water bottle, cap, then shake for perfect blending. The fitness results you achieve while taking this product are entirely dependent on you, so I'm not going to make any promises. However, I believe it has helped me stay in the best shape of my life. The only weakness of this product, and any other quality protein supplement, is that it is expensive.

Best protein for the price!

Posted Mar 20, 2008 - For the price, ON whey is the best you can get. It tastes far better than the GNC whey that I used to get and it is also cheaper if you buy online. Many bodybuilders recommend ON whey protein because they have had such good experiences with it and I agree. Highly recommended! Chocolate tastes the best out of all the other flavours.

Great protien content, great flavour, low sugar! Great Chocolate flavour!

Strengths:

Excellent flavour, excellent protein content, natural sweetner used (stevia)

Weaknesses:

Chocolate flavour is slightly bitter. This may be a slight downside. for those who don't like dark cocoa. Also cost of product.

Posted Jan 8, 2008 - I love this protein powder for quick breakfast or an evening snack. I use it immediately after workouts. It is approximately 25 g of protien. I blend it with soymilk which makes it 33 g of protien. It gives you clean burning energy. It dissolves well with vigorous shaking, but I prefer to use a hand (immersion) blender. Of the three flavours I have tried, strawberry, chocolate, and vanilla, I like them in that order. The chocolate goes well as a creamer for your coffee, cook it in pancakes, or even put it in your oats!
