Posted Apr 1, 2008 - price is real good compared to verbatim i burned these at 2.4 and 4x on a nec3550a and a pionner 115 both updated to current firmware how ever i did not burn past 4x so they may even burn faster then 4x it just seems most slower burns are more stable and even at 4x burns 8 gigs is around 24 mins

Absolute Garbage

Posted Oct 26, 2007 - Straight out of the box, none will burn successfully. Have never had problems before burning DVD+R DL, even with Memorex 2.4x speed. However, these platters are junk. Tried all sorts of speeds, different burners, different software. No luck. Stay far away from these!

Great product for a great price

Posted Nov 11, 2007 - I have been using Memorex DVD+R DL since I purchased my new PC a year ago. Not a single disc has failed. Excellent product. At a little more than $1 per disc it is an incredible bargain.

perfect burn experiences

Posted Oct 31, 2007 - When burning the disc remember to close other applications to reduce CPU usage. It would reduce chances of getting errors when burning. They're good quality for the price. I would buy Memorex brand again.

Posted 1 year ago - so i have to burn off stuff for guy at work and have bin doing this for 3 1/2 yrs not and thay work fine some ppl just dont know what thay are doing it seem to me i have alot of pc and mac that i burn thes with and i dont have a problem so 80% fale well thats all them not the disk lol

Bad Quality Control

Posted 1 year ago - Would not buy Memorex again. Too bad I have 2-1/2 spindles left. Wish I could get my money back, but too late. Have never had a problem with Verbatum DLs which I will buy in the future even thought they are more expensive.

Great DL DVD+R

Posted 1 year ago - We are very happy with the quality of this media an the ease to record to it. We haven't had any problems with these disks like we experience every once and while with other brands.

Posted May 29, 2008 - I think the problems may be withe purple burn side, but they do play with a few hang ups on newer dvd players. I will probably try verbatim next. I never had any problems with single layer HP disks. I'm about half way through my pack and had two duds back to back.

works fine. no toasters

Posted Apr 29, 2008 - I used these with my Sony writer and got the full 8x speed. Worked fine. Make sure you have the latest firmware if any applied before writing, though. I'm satisfied with these, and you can't beat the price. These don't support lightscribe, in case you care (I don't).

Waste of money

Posted Apr 6, 2008 - I have a new LG burner that never failed a burn until I bought this brand. I'm backing up movies, so I'm not sure how they do with data, but I can't imagine it being any better since these fail within the first two minutes of a burn. I have had two successes out of ten attempts, and those two won't even run in my DVD player; they only play in the computer. This has been a total waste of $60! Too bad I didn't even open them for a month after I got them--they are now unreturnable.

No Problems

Posted Feb 22, 2008 - I have been very pleased with the Memorex 8x DVD+R Double Layer 50-Pack Spindle. Only problems that I had was that the plastic casing was broken into pieces during shipping, but no damage to the discs. Silver facing is easy to write on and read. So far, no burn errors or unreadable discs. I would recommend these disc for the average user.

Posted Feb 14, 2008 - My dvd recorder only can record at 4X and not 8X. No bad burns yet. Not sure if it really a great media yet. Will have to use it more.

Posted Feb 7, 2008 - I've been using the DVD's for a couple of months now and have not had a single DVD that failed to be written to. I received the product in a timely manner. I would definitely purchase this product from this vendor again!

Garbage

Posted Jan 31, 2008 - From a pack of 50 only about 20 worked, and I tried multiple drives and software. I used this brand before in the 25 packs and had minimal issues. I am not sure why but this was a complete disaster.

Posted Jan 25, 2008 - As I stated, this price is tough to beat when it comes to a quality company like Memorex. They have yet to let me down, and have DL DVD's has already been helpful once when my original movie got scratched up from being left out.
