Posted Jun 11, 2004 - Even if you have Windows XP, and have a built in Disk Defragmenter, this would be a good buy. It makes a better job of defragmenting Hard Disks than any other one I've used. I use this product at home as well as at work, and I'm totally sold on it.

Strengths:

The "Set It And Forget It" mode which allows a complete hands off operation and the Boot-Time defragmentation feature which allows the defragmentation of the Paging File and the Master File Table.

Weaknesses:

None noted.

Posted May 17, 2004 - Although I just recently received my copy of Diskeeper 8.0 Professional, I became quite familiar with its features during a recent 15-day trial period. This program truly delivers on all its promises. The "Set It and Forget It" mode alone is worth the full price of the software. Working with numerous audio/video files on three HDs quickly fragmented the drives and slowed down my entire system. Manually defragmenting them became quite an inconvenience. Diskeeper 8.0 resolved this problem. Very user friendly program. Top notch!
