Sony PRS600
Strengths: comfortable, easy to use
Weakness: lack of ebooks, other see comments
Had my PRS600 2 months and fortunately bought the Best Buy extended warranty. It froze up and I could't do ANYTHING. Went to Best Buy and over the counter got a brand new one right away.
The downside is the Sony eReader store. Their inventory is awful compared to Barnes & Noble and Amazon and the prices are higher. I purchased a book a month ago and it was $1.99 and now it is $10.99. I'm looking for another of an author I enjoyed, purchased one from the e store 2 weeks ago and now all of the author's book titles have disappeared... but not on Barnes & Noble or Amazon.
One other problem I have experienced and is very frustrating is that I use it when on the treadmill working out. Twice now I have downloaded books that the font changing option doens't work for that specific book and the font is in 'small', unreadable while on the treadmill. Sony doens't tell you when you order the book that the font is fixed at 'small'.
I would not recommend this product to anyone until they improve their book inventory. Barnes & Noble offers a 'sample download' to see if you like the book..... fantastic option.
