4 Star Review SuperLoader 3 - Super - but 2 flaws

Strengths:

The device is reliable. The robotics work well, the system software and web interface are great. With a second tape tray you can install 16 tapes. I have 15 data tapes and 1 cleaning tape.

Weaknesses:

One DriveVeritas Backup Exec software

Posted Dec 22, 2007 - The hardware and Quantum system software work very well. The web interface is clean, obvious, easy to use. The front panel menu is also adequate for importing and exporting media and basic maintenance. There are, however, two (2) flaws. First is that with only one (1) drive you can\\\'t do a backup and a restore simultaneously. Second, Veritas Backup Exec is just difficult to configure and use and doesn\\\'t work well. After purchasing Veritas Backup Exec for Exchange, bringing in a consultant for 3 days, and wrestling with it for a week, I threw out the Veritas and brought in CommVault Galaxy Express.
