Fantastic pro-level horn in sound and quality
MADE BY KANSTUL! Great sound, built to last, great intonation, slotting, highly versatile horn (classical, jazz, etc.). Pro-level horn ... really!
None, except you can't find them anymore, after some large stores blew them out for about 1/3 ($300) their normal price ($999).
Posted 2 months ago - I love this horn. If you find one in good shape and want an inexpensive horn that plays and sounds like a pro horn, buy it. It has a beautifully rich tone that plays/sounds wonderful throughout its entire range, it inspires confidence (great slotting, sound, and projection). Has the same specs as a Bach Strad model 37, but has a slightly brighter sound than a Bach. You simply can't beat this horn. Even its valve block is the same as Kanstul's top-of-the-line horns (e.g., 1537). Sam Ash Music Store still has some Besson 800 Internationals left for sale, which are like the 709, except has a reverse leadpipe, giving you a bit more of an open feel.
Did you find it helpful , unhelpful, or inappropriate?
