Defective parts
Posted Jul 8, 2007 - Bought mine in March, 2007. A month later the picture (either in TV or DVD mode) would flicker/pixellate after 15 minutes. Good thing I got the 4 year service plan so the repairman came and took it to be fixed. Two months later I get a call from the repairman saying he can't fix it because Toshiba can't manufacture the part causing the problem. The part was called a "sine board". A few days later Toshiba approved to have it exchanged at the store where I bought it. Then I found out the store wasn't selling it anymore (too many complaints, hmmm?) so they offered me a similar TV but it was Sharp instead. I took it. Over all I wasn't happy with this considering I paid about $1,000 for it originally in March and the Sharp I got sells now for $800. Barnacles.
