fcasas - (July 29, 2004) This works great and it. I have packed more than 200 bags with cookies, vegatables, meats, cerals etc.. It it so EASY, to make it work, just put the bag into the sealer, close the lid and wait until the air is extrractedd. I just love to bring my lunch to my job into a vacuum sealed bag. I saved a lot of money preserving food that in other way I would have to waste.

tylcra999 - (November 25, 2007) I honestly wished I would have purchased this product years ago .I had several of freezer burnt items and now I can vacuum pack seperately and not have to worry about buying freezer bags that don't prevent freezer burn.Works really good for those hamburg and hotdog buns too.

lovethydog - (March 23, 2004) This thing just doesnt work. Constantly stops working in mid use because its "over heated". You have to wait 5 minutes for it to start working again. Simply a piece of junk.

karmaleyez6 - (01/05/2009) I found that one must pre-freeze any thing that is liquidy slightly but not frozen solid. As I telephoned and they recomended one should in order to properly vacuum contents.

5 Star Review FoodSaver Advanced Design V2860

nynate - (07/04/2008) Unit works very well and is aesthetically pleasing in our modern kitchen. Its very light but solid and folds up against our backsplash. The power cable folds away nicely within the back of the unit. Vacuum packs food quite quickly and prevents freezer burn and ice crystals that are typical when using zip lock bags or similar. Perfect for bulk buying and packing up food into smaller portions. The only complaint is that the vacuum channel and the sealing strip have been placed, probably by design, about 2" apart. This means that you waste 2"+ of bag material. There is no reason they could have designed them to be right next to each other.

4 Star Review FoodSaver Model V 2240Bs Appliance

tedplaut - (07/03/2008) I am single and these days you can never get products packaged small enough for just one person. So you are dependent on your freezer to save the portions you do not eat the same day. As a result you need good packaging to prevent the stale taste that you get normally with freezing the left overs.
