128MB - MPN: 100434102
Strengths: Runs games in max settings and still loads fast, cheaper than Geforce TI cards and not much difference between this and TI 4600
Weakness: Having to connect the card to the power supply in order for it to get the power it needs ( It's that strong folks! )
Kick a$$ card and it's a great price for what it can do. Games can be put on max settings on resolution and quality, and they still load fast, and I mean FAST!

TopStrengths: Direct X 9 support, beats the cr** out of the GeForce 4 Ti4200, runs all games smoothly at 1280 by 1024 resolution with max settings, stable drivers, awesome price for the performance
Weakness: none that i could find (no OC options but the stock settings are perfectly fine with me)
awesome card, best card on the market for performance per dollar and it beats its competitor, the Ti 4200, by at least 10-40% in all the benchmarks i ran on it, comes with a better bundle of cables and converters which werent included with the MX 440 or Ti4200 i bought. a must buy for a gamer unless you're a OC.

TopStrengths: 5 times my previous 3dmark 2001 score! games look great!
Weakness: no overclocking availabilities yet. need the latest agp driver and no game bundle
unreal tournament looks great and it's smooth. no more "jaggies". Upgraded from my old radeon le and well worth it. Gotta play all of my old games over again.

TopStrengths: All of its included features, price, and performance- "most bang for the bucks now" as others have said.
Weakness: Cannot be overclocked till bios is re-flashed and then warranty is void, otherwize I have found none and mine is in a heavily loaded high performance system with a 550w power supply, so I would know!
I bought this card, replacing my Visiontek GeForce 3 Ti 200, primarily to resolve boot-up issues on my Gigabyte GA-7VAXP motherbord (AMD 1800+XP processor), and some problems with certain programs, which it solved.
You have to search a bit on the web but you can find a bios installer and new bios hack which will allow overclocking this card if you are brave, but remember you will forfeit your warranty...
I am very pleased with this card as I noticed programs that previously would not run properly did so even though I was only running 256mb of Ram at installation.
It has proved to perform, in oem state, just as I expected it would, and for the price what more could you want. It really does kick the Nvidia Geforce 4 cards which were great, but which have now been made obsolete.
PS: I inxtalled the GeForce 3 in my 800Mhz. Pentium 3 system (768Mb. ram, Promise 133 DMA card, Maxtor 133 drives)where it now lives happily, replacing the TNT II PRO 64, and giving this older syetem quite a welcome boost!
***update 6/25***
This card really kicks now with the Infineon 3.0 bios and overclock program installed along with 1Mb. ultra premium 434 DDR and a new AMD 3000XP.

TopStrengths: Decent card for the price
Weakness: Not as good as the 9700 pro or the 9600 pro
This is a decent card not for the really hardcore gamer those line up behind the 9700 pro and the 9800 pro.It doesn't beat the Nvidia 4600.The Geforce 4 TI-4200 is in same price and performance area.Drivers has always been ATI's weakness it is getting better.I find it funny that people think they can flash it and make it a 400 dollar card won't work people .i would like a card where you could add your own Gpu and memory like a motherboard. No card especially the 9500 which has already been replaced will last for two years where it will run new games at that time PCI Express will be here by then.

TopStrengths: UPDATE:can be OC with a simple flash to video bio's,it's a canadain product
Weakness: power supply is near the ram so it will be hard to put ram heat sinks on it
The best part of this card (9500 pro) is O/C.
heres my best result for 3dmark2003 4550 vpu 366/320 cpu 2500 2.14 gig@176fsb with 256 pc3200 2-3-3-6-3
3mark2001 14995 with the same specs
P.S wish they was a flash to convert to 256 bit memory

TopStrengths: ummm... cant say enough about this card. its basically an underclocked 9700 with a 128bit memory interface. best card out there for the money. no exceptions.
Weakness: absolutely none.
well lets see... first of all (not to bust indo's balls or anything) this card wasnt meant to be a 9700. its priced lower because it was clocked lower and it has a 128bit mem interface, which slots it in the mainstream market, not the high-end market. u get what u pay for, but in this case u get a lot more. all u need is a 3rd party bios which unlocks the card. not hard to get. from there u r able to clock it to 9700 levels. and i hate to tell ya but theres no way a 4 piper can hold a candle to the 9500's 8 pipes. and another thing... ati's image quality is hands down the best out there. nvidia cant match it even in their high-end models. pretty sad when i can use lower aa/af settings than a geforce and have superior image quality. so anyway, if youre lookin for a great (i should say the best) mid level card, then dont look any farther than the 9500pro

TopStrengths: This is what I want all along... average performance but can support up-to-date game. Although it's slower than 9700 pro. However 9500 pro has all the features in 9700 pro. That's why I love 9500 pro.
Weakness: You want weaknesses? I will tell you one word which is none
9500 pro a graphic card you must buy it you wish to upgrade from slower graphics cards. Go to your nearest store and grab one today. Now, Ati discontinued this product so you may have to buy fast from your local reseller. My summary? Buy it if you want it. :)

TopStrengths: Excellent gaming performance at a highly competitive price!!
Weakness: None
I've been playing UT2003, and a few other FPS games quite a lot since I got this card, and I was totally blown away by the performance of this card from the 1st time I used it!!!
I've played every game I own, with gfx setting to the maximum that the rest of my system can handle, and this card just flies thru everything I've thrown at it!!
Highly recommended - can't fault it

TopStrengths: Great Card with a Great Price. Excellent color, resolution, and speed.
Weakness: none
I've had Hercules Prophets, Nvida's 4200TI's and this ATI Radeon 9500 Pro is your best bang for your bucks at this point. The 9700's and new 9800 Pros may be a bit faster, but not fast enough for the price difference. You buy this card you will be satified!

TopStrengths: This card dosen't drop much in proformance when you have anisotropic filtering on 4X & smoothvision on 6X were as my ti4200x8 128mb card would drop so bad it was stuttering & it was the same price.
Weakness: I can not find any at all, for the price of this card it is more than worth the money over & over again, its £80.00 pound cheaper than a ti4600 here in the uk & is on the same level as a ti4600.
I paid £150.00 for my card here in the UK over a year ago and mine is the HERCULES version and I have put the hack in it and it is now a 9700pro and shows up as a 9700pro in the bios and my display properties, I am not saying it is a 9700pro now but it says it is and it really did proform a hole lot better when I stuck the driver hack in and it gave me an extra 3000 on my score in 3d mark 01se when I but the hack in, so my score when from 13999 to 16232 which is just about an extra 3000 which is the same as a gforce 2 gets, so overall I am very happy with this card and do not need to upgrade for another year when hopfully the radeon 9900 will be out, I really feel the best bang for the buck is the 9500pro at the moment as no other card can keep up with it for the same price range, it is a legend and will be talked about for years to come as its the bust budget card made to date and buy no means dose it feel like a budget card as to me it feels like a top of the range for the game play you get and the exerlent image quility.

TopStrengths: Has an ability to beat the ge-force Ti-4600, and even the ge-force FX5600ultra!!! in the 3dmark2003! real gamers card!
Weakness: only one and it's not so important:) has no vivo like in Leadtek's fx5600ultra:( for real gamer it's nothing:)
my system: cpu-p4-533fsb 2.4ghz! Ati Saphire 9500pro 128mb!
768mb ddr333! i'm playing in midnight club2 with full 6x antialising! and full 16x- anisotropic! and it's only on agp 4x! not tried on agp 8x! i like this card because i've been sitting something about 10 month on ge-force ti-4200, and now i feel no borders to play at full speed and power!:) highly recommended card!

TopStrengths: dx9 support. 8 pixel pipes. Excellent overclocker
Weakness: lacks 256bit memory bus.
This card was selling for $219. with $20 rebate(9500pro).
The 4600ti was also $219.
In generall the 4600ti is faster. The 9500pro is faster with AA and AF enabled. If you play mohhaa i would definitally get the 4600ti. If you are building a system and plan to get the new dx9 games then you might want the 9500pro. However your much better off coughing up $299 if you can find a 9700pro or 9800non pro. 9800pro is even better, but $399 is to much. Iv'e owned all these cards, each for 15 days or less, and i kept the 4600ti.

TopStrengths: For the price, you can't beat this card. It outperforms the GeForce equivalent in every category!
Weakness: annoying ATI multimedia center is hard to get rid of once you are "suggested" to install
Except for the new GeForce Fx Pro 5900 coming out, you can't beat a RADEON card for price and performance. I highly recommend this product.

TopStrengths: Way faster than the Nvidia Geforce 4 TI 4200! I have used both cards with the same pc.
Weakness: None,
This card rocks for the price. I have a 4x agp motherboard so I don't know the full power of the card, but so far it is amazing. I can run Unreal Tournament at full setting without any slow down. Very impressive since I am on a one gig hz AMD with 768 megs of 133 sdram. Can't wait to put it in a new machine!

TopStrengths: Great visuals, high frame rates for running on athlon 1700+ with 384 MB ddr266. all i have left to do is flash the bios and over clock this puppy to a 9700
Weakness: i dont think its the cards fault, but i couldnt play games with via's chipset drivers installed
excelent card, i recomend to any one buy this why you can still find it, before it gets replaced with the slower 9600. im happy i got this card, but it doesnt run up to its full potential with my current cpu and memory, that will be resloved shortly.

TopStrengths: Very good card, first time I could run all the 3dmark tests. My other cards have been Geforce 2 + Geforce 4 Mxcards. They did not run all the tests. This card also will play Raven Shield with AA on
Weakness: This card strapped to a P4 1.6 with 640 of SDram still gets crappy FPS in Raven Shield. BUT all the graphics are turned on.
I can,t under stand why my Ge-force 2 mx 400 would play UT2K3 all right in high settings, And the 9500 pro only gets 85 fps. Yes it is much better looking and I love this card but.....
I don't believe that my p 4 1.6 is really an old dog. AND I was hoping for more than 45 fps in Raven Shield
I love the look with the card but I am upset that it does no more fps than my Ge-force 4 mx 440 with half the ram and less than that pipeline. khouse1@shaw.ca if u can help! with out the obvious NEW COMPUTER IDEA

TopStrengths: Great performance. Runs Ut 2003 without problems at 1280 by 1024 . Good frame rates
Weakness: Problem with drivers don't let me capture video
This a great card for a good price. Sometimes runs better than a Gforce 4. If you want to save money and have a card that will hold up for the years to come, at least one, this is the one you should buy. If you are a speed fanatic go and buy the 9800.

TopStrengths: none
Weakness: 128bit, not the 256bit I thought I was getting
non-game graphics are not that great. Bought a geforce 64mb ddr and the website pictures were much clearer than the ati 9500. Ran both on a new Dell P4 2.4Ghz. Took the 9500 card back to BestBuy. I'm not a gamer and can not rate that aspect of this card.

TopStrengths: Performs EXTREMELY well at 1024 X 768 resolution. It’s able to produce super fast frame rates in Battlefield 1942 that I was not able to see in my GeForce 3.
Weakness: Before I upgraded my GeForce 3 TI200 to the 9500 PRO, I was able to run games like Star Wars Jedi Outcast, UT 2003, at 1600 X 1200, but when I upagraded to the 9500 Pro it wouldn't work.
I love the overall performance of the this card, and would recommend it to anyone that asks. Other than the one weakness I listed, this card is a steal and should not be passed by.

TopStrengths: Extreme graphics. This card is what computer gaming is all about!
Weakness: Makes you jealous for the 9700 pro.
If you don't have $300 bucks to spend on the 9700 pro this is the next best thing. Morrow Wind looks increadable on my system because this card is awesome. The battle is on between Radeon and NVIDIA, and I'm sticking with Radeon. Top quality, top performance.

TopStrengths: Radeon 9500 Pro AGP 128MB can be overclocked to 9700 speed!
Weakness: none
This card is Amazing, it is faster than a GForce 4600Ti and cost less aint THAT a KICKER! It's got prgrammable shaders and is Overclockable,..snicker...( voids the warrenty but its scores are ALMOST a ATI9700 PRO!) My core/mem is 324/310 yep looks like the core of a 9700 PRO, for only 200 bucks!!!!
I went from a Gforce 2 to this card and got BLOWNAWAY!! I LOVE IT!!
This card will last me for atleast 2 years I think or until the GFX cards come down in price, but who knows if this jewel keeps performing like its is now I aint got no reason to switch. By the way you aint seen nuthin' till you see this spitfire crank out a directX9 screensaver of the ATI Dogs..its my showoff piece to all who come over to the house.Errrr..Gforce 4600ti cant do that!(either) Newegg company is Literally the best, oh yea I found some cheaper (not much)but a couple of bucks extra and I get peace of mind and 3 day shipping BAM! it was here

TopStrengths: Excellent performance in all 3D applications.
Weakness: No heatsink on memory, power cable blocks one memory chip.
This is an excellent card. It easily beats the ti4400 and is very colse to the ti4600 without overclocking. If you overclock this card it beats the ti4600. The performance of this card with Anisotropic Filterinf and Antialiasing is incredible, because there is very little performance decrease with these options enabled. For those of you who can't afford a 9700 Pro, this is the next best thing.

TopStrengths: Ease of installation, runs all games without any problems,Benchmarked 13,001 3dMark2001se, Never a lockup nor reboot ever.
Weakness: None that I can find.
We have been waiting on this card since we read of this becoming available.
We ordered one the first time we found a listing on a good vender.
It appears this card is the hottest video card to date.
As of today, we could not find anything but the made by ATI version.
We had ordered the Sapphiretech version, but by the time the vender came to our order all these cards were gone. The vender had to substitute the made by ATI card.
We have not been able to find the Sapphiretech card anywhere.

Top
ATI RADEON 9500 PRO Graphics Accelerator
Strengths: Good Graphics, easy installation.
Weakness: None, maybe later on you want something more powerful, but it's human nature.
At first I blamed this card for not having a picture on my screen but it was something else, now I love this card but since my Asus P4PE mobo supports only 4x I can't get the whole enchilada, thinking of upgrading drivers, but then buying another card, I seen benchmarks where this card beats the 9600 Pro version hands down plus the 4200 GeForce,
I only recommend this card for people that want a budget card with a lot of bang, for more bang get the Radeon 9700 Pro or 9800 Pro or the mother of all cards(for a while) the Nvidia 5900 FX Ultra, take in mind these cards are very expensive.
