PNY has poor customer service

Discussion of PNY GeForce 7300 GS Video Card

Posted Jan 16, 2007 - My PNY 7300 GS went out after a few months. I sent it back to PNY under the warranty. They send me a "replacement" but when I received the package and opened it I found it was empty. For a bad video card they gave me an empty box. I called PNY several times but could never get anyone. I emailed and filled out PNY's web form numerous times and mostly they did not respond at all. When they did, the response was vague. Finally they responded to my claim about sending me an empty box and refused to send me my video card. Basically they called me a liar. This is without even checking the serial number of the card they claim they sent. So PNY video cards go out (2nd one for me), they have extremely poor customer service response, and they will not honor their warranty. Needless to say I will not be purchasing PNY products any longer.

new vs cost

Discussion of Asus Geforce 7950 GX2 Video Card

Posted Sep 13, 2006 - I upgraded to the asus card because I`ve got three other ASUS cards that have well exceeded their warranty. The problems I had with the card were merely much needed updates. I got rid of my driver loop and all other problems by updating my chipset drivers, then my video drivers, and finally flashing my bios (ASUS A8N deluxe) to the beta 1017.004. It took me 3 complete reloads to accomplish this and get everything else to work the way I wanted. Overall I still think it was worth it because now I can play my most demanding games maxed out, and that makes my day. I did add a 120mm and a 80mm fan on the side of my box to keep the card cool.

Capture Capability

Discussion of ATI All-In-Wonder X1900 Video Card

Posted Aug 23, 2006 - I would like to know from someone that effectively use this card for video capture as primary use, this card was intended at first to do capture and give you game capability. So anyone here using this card to record from the S Video Feed from a satellite and could report the result and same for the one that use it with the TV Tuner Card, but I would be more interested by it Video Capture Capability as I have the 9800 AGP and would be interested to know what king or rig you have to work with it and if you find any issue outside that it is not the fastest gamer card on the market. Thank you

EN7900 Dual or 7950 GX2 ???

Discussion of XFX Extreme Edition GeForce 7950 GX2 Video Card

Posted Aug 15, 2006 - Besides the obvious difference in price has anyone compared these two cards. What would be the benefit of two GPU's on the same card vs basically two cards on top of each other. If 7950 is a better pic since it's newer and faster than why are the EN7900 Duals selling for a much steeper price? Maybe cause they are a collector's item since only 2000 of them?

Dual-DVI, Not DVI/VGA

Discussion of Asus GeForce 6800GT Video Card

Posted Feb 25, 2006 - The Product Details page lists that it has VGA-out, but the general description as well as the manufacturer's website/pictures shows that it has two DVI-I outputs. The manufacturer's site lists it as coming with DVI-to-VGA adapter cables, so it can handle VGA-out, but I think the description on the page here is a bit misleading. Since it has two DVI-I output, listing those would be more accurate as well as being a better seller. I'd rather have two DVI-outs with the possibility of DVI-to-VGA adapters than a VGA-out and a DVI-out. I'm planning on buying one in the next month or so, so if someone has purchased one of these, please verify that it has two DVI-output and not a single VGA-out and DVI-out.
