5 Star Review LVW-5005 DVD Recorder (Progressive Scan)

tweb24 - (August 11, 2004) I purchased this DVD recorder so I could put all of my home movies onto DVD. I chose the Lite-On All-Write model because I was fearful of what would play on the majority of my DVD players I had already owned. The first time I recorded I used an Imation DVD-R, and it worked perfectly on 3 different brands of DVD players as well as my laptop and desktop computers. This is the format I will use for now. The system did come with a DVD+RW which I used to test various situations out. If I didn't have Tivo I would probably use this more to record my favorite shows. Also, for you Tivo users, you are able to transfer a show to DVD. Just go through the menu saying you are going to transfer to a VH

jonathan7 - (October 31, 2004) I have to admit, after reading some of the reviews of other entry level DVD Recorders (and the problems people encountered), I was not sure I was ready for the step up to a DVD Recorder. Then I saw the Liteon LVW5005 at one of the major Warehouse Clubs for a great price. It also featured All-Write technology, which means it would write to both of the major DVD Recordable media standards (+/-). Since the Warehouse Club had a good return policy, I decided to give it a try. I couldn't be happier with my decision. I found unit setup to be easy, and user guide documentation good. This Liteon model has great screen display interfaces, making internal setup also a breeze. Most impressi

5 Star Review DMR-E85H DVD Recorder (Progressive Scan, 120GB Hard Drive)

dvdirv - (May 11, 2004) The DMR-E85H is a great improvement over the previous model, the DMR-E80H! The hard drive is now 120GB which gives you 213 hrs. in EP model, up from the earlier model with only 80GB which only gave you 106 hrs. If you wanted 120GB hard drive, you needed to spend $1199 for the previous model. Now this model has a list of $699.99 with even more options. The TV Guide On Screen feature displays the channels and time just like a cable TV's preview channel. You just click on the name of the program and the program title and length and channel is automatically entered. The best part is that this is all free and operates through your existing cable channels. No need to connect via phone

5 Star Review After much research on DTV Converter Boxes, this is the one!

SexWax - (06/24/2009) I'm getting more channels than I ever had. (9 vs 1.5) I had one decent slightly snowy channel and one very snowy channel in New Hampshire. They were Maine analog stations. Our viewing options were limited. Now we get 9 channels and no snow. A must have!

1 Star Review Hdmi adaptor

Serge713 - (06/17/2009) Don't buy this product, they will send you a generic brand. I paid for a Monster camcorder HDMI cable adapter and they sent me a generic brand mini HDMI adaptor. This is not even a cable.I am very disappointed
