Strengths:Universal power supply will work if you travel; 2 phone ports available.
Weaknesses:Unit running relatively hot; design bigger then competitors.
Posted Oct 7, 2005 - Linksys phone adapter is a good box for advanced VOIP users.
Through the web interface you can configure a lot of parameteres and setup dial plans. Also having 2 ports one should be able to get 2 different phone numbers with only one connection to the internet. Comparing to the Grandstream box which I had, this one have more features but as I pointed out as weaknesses, this unit is actually bigger and kind of overheats. Other then that, setup was easy, there is a lot of (good) documentation, voice quality is very good (of course it depends on your VOIP provider) and on the web you can find a lot of information about this device (including unlocking instructions!). The power supply you get is a universal 110-220v/50-60Hz so this unit is ideal if you travel. Overall a very good Linksys product, as one would expect from Linksys (now Cisco).
