Vibrating spin cycle is very annoying

Started Aug 8, 2007

Strengths: Great washing and easy to operate. Love how quiet the wash and rinse cycles are.

Weaknesses: Spin Cycle is out of control

I love this machine except for the vibrating spin cycle. I'm afraid the machine is going to fall over (It's on a pedestal.) If I can't find a solution for this, it's going somewhere else. We put the laundry room on the first floor of our house along with our living quarters. I took great care to use 2x6 walls to insulate against any noise but it sounds like the house is sitting on the railroad tracks when the spin cycle starts. It's terrible.

Debbie I posted anbout the spin cycle above your post.

I had a tech come for one of my freezers and told him about the spin cycle. The cycle whether it was in high or med the machine would rock back and forth. To the point it would move forward.

He was kind to check it for me. But the one thing he did say was even if it is level when it is not in use it should be levelled when it is in a spin and that's how it's suppose to be done. Put a couple of bath towels in and put on the rinse / spin. Take the front off the pedestal and one can adjust from the top. This is in the installation instructions pedestal. Mine is on page4 under Complete installation.

Before doing that also make sure that all 4 locknuts are against the pedestal and tightened. Mine were not.

When he did the 2 steps mentioned above so far this has solved the problem. There will be "some" vibration due to the high rpm's.

Hope this was helpful.
