Posted Feb 6, 2006 - i got one of these with one head 6 months ago from shopnbc and had watches often not stay wound when using it. i never sat up all night to see how it was working, i just noticed that it would go around when turned on, and later when left on. after a number of months i realized it was only going around in one direction, even in the dual mode setting. i had never seen it go around in the opposite direction, which was a feature i'd paid a lot of bucks for. so i stayed up for hours at a time checking the thing and found out it simply did not work when it was supposed to operate in the opposite direction...it just skipped the cycle. this apparently had been the case since i purchased it new from shopnbc. there was no way to tell that it was skipping this cycle unless one suspected from the start the product was bad, and looked for the problem, watching it for hours and a number of cycles, to see if it was doing what it was supposed to. like staring at your new washing machine throughout it's washing cylces. who does that? so, after finding out it was bad from the start, i am now stuck with a faulty machine that was promoted as the best thing since sliced bread on the air. be very careful buying this particular brand from these people, there is no way to know if it's doing everything it's supposed to until it's too late, unless you watch it for hours at a time from the beginning...as far as i'm concerned that's NOT the kind of buying experience i expect when purchasing from a major tv seller...if you want something you can trust i'd recommend getting a known brand watchwinder, not one of these high priced models from a tv seller, made by a watch company that outsources the production of these contraptions...and make no mistake, this brand (swiss watch international, made from outsourced producters) is on that does not do what it is supposed to.
