Tag Heuer Carrera Men's Stainless Steel Watch

With out watch

Posted Feb 8, 2006 - I purchased my Tag back in September of 2005 in the Bahamas because of the price. It was about $700 cheaper than in the states. I love the watch but it has some drawbacks. This model,unlike other Tags,does not have a screw in crown. This brings me to my problem, the crown always pops out and the watch stops. This happend a number of times till the crown came out of the watch completely around the middle of January 2006. No worries it has a 2 year warranty! I sent the watch back through a jeweler that could not give me a time frame on the repair. The watch had to go to the repair center located in NJ. I contacted the repair center on Febuary 7, 2006 to find out that the parts that are needed to make the repair are on backorder and may not be availible until April or May! I own a high end watch that will spend 4 out of 7 months of ownership being repaired. Not a great experience!!!

TAG Heuer Carrera Automatic Chronograph

Posted Jun 8, 2007 - This is my fifth TAG Heuer so far (two 6000 Series, one Kirium chrono, one Kirium Ti5, and now a Carrera chrono), and the Carrera has to be my favorite! I've wanted one for years and finally found one at the right price at the right time. I don't have a single bad thing to say about it; the TAG Heuer name, reputation, quality, and styling are legendary.

chronograph reset button fell

Posted 1 year ago - Have had watch for just over 2 years - warranty just ran out - and noticed chronograph reset button to be missing. It had fallen out. Interestingly, me and my best friends got the same watch on the same day - gifts for father's day from our wives - and his button also fell out 6 months ago and was repaired under warranty. Appears I am out of luck.

my favorite accessory

Posted Mar 6, 2007 - Some may wonder why these watches are expensive, not realizing the quality of workmanship that goes into them. This is not the kind of watch you change ever 1-2 years, but something you may keep for a lifetime. I love it.

Not the quality one would expect

Posted 1 year ago - Got this watch three years ago in wedding present. Worked fine until recently. The reset button fell off (I note this seems to be a common problem) and the watch stopped altoghether. Repair price 800 USD! Quite a hefty price for three years of normal usage!

$50 watch more like...

Posted 1 year ago - brought the watch for $2750 in Switzerland and after 5 months ownership with 4 months of them in service. It contiuned to be slow by 10 - 15 minutes a day, in the end I had to sell the watch for $1500, destroyed my trust in the brand completely. Never getting a Tag high end watch ever again. now happily owes a Omega Speedmaster with no faults at all.
