Works great, lasts a very long time
Filters out chlorine taste, "fishy" taste (from algae blooms in summer), lasts much longer than expiration date.
Expensive
Posted Jun 10, 2006 - Note that first reviewer probably had the plastic place-holder filter in the fridge, which could very likely give you plastic-tasting water. We have public water supply that's mildly chlorinated. This filter removed all traces of chlorine taste for over a year. In fact, it was the best tasting water I'd had in 30 years! These filters are meant to last 6 months or so but delivered good water for over a year (could be we don't drink as much water as average families).
