LIFECAM VX-1000

Strengths: Installs in minutes. Good quality picture for the money.

Weaknesses: Should have an easier mount for notebook screens.

Microsoft LifeCam VX-1000 was recommended to me by a friend. As far as installation it was a piece of cake. The picture quality was very good, quite surprised actually considering it was less than $30.00. I only wish that the mount for the cam could be done on my notebook screen. Would recommend this product to all the grandparents who wish they could see their grandkids everyday. Would make a great Christmas gift.

Hello!

I received this camera as a gift, and I have a problem with it. I can make a movie, but I cannot take pictures at all. The image is totally black and even in the main window I don't see anything. Even when I'm making a movie, the image is totally black, but when I open the movie with other movie player it works.

Did somebody meet the same problem?
