An expensive toy

Posted Oct 29, 2005 - I'm not serious in using webcam while chatting so I bought a cheapest one from Logitech. All I can say is that this webcam is nothing but an expensive toy. Just guess what you can expect from a webcam with price tag of 20$. If you want a decent webcam, you should pay more.

Posted Nov 28, 2005 - image quality is not as expected. It works fine on my WinXPproSP2 system but not as good as on my WinServer2K3entSP1 system. I also love the headphone comes with this webcam.

Logitech QuickCam Chat

Posted Dec 6, 2005 - Logitech QuickCam Chat 961402-0403 Made In China This is a basic color USB webcam. I'm not sure how big the sensor is, but I doubt it's 640x480. The image quality is pretty grainy, especially under dim lighting. There is an adjustable focus ring in the front to make the video output better than a complete blur. Mine also included a free headset to use for on-line chatting. It's USB, so just pop in the CD and plug it into your pc and let it install the drivers. I don't recommend installing the included Logitech software, as there's not much content or purpose in it.

nice basic webcam

Posted Feb 12, 2006 - A good webcam at the basic level. Easy to install. An acceptable image quality. Handful headset. But do not expect performance more than standard. No sharp image under dim light.

You get what you pay for

Posted Feb 2, 2006 - This webcam produces decent images in well lighted surroundings but its low light performance is less than desirable.If you are in the look out for a cheap webcam get the Quickcam communicate STX, it is definitely worth the upgrade from this one.If you are paying more than $15 for this one, you are definitely overpaying.

Posted Jan 29, 2006 - The model of quickcam does not have the same quality as logitech mice have. The picture captured by the quickcam is too blur to be in use. I installed the product for months but barely use it because of the low resolution.The price and outlook, as well as the software interface of the product are attractive though.

Posted May 18, 2005 - Changed it twice without any success -- 3 lemons out of 3! That cannot be an isolated case of bad luck. Buy this camera only if you get it for free after rebates.

nice webcam

Posted Dec 4, 2005 - This is a good webcam for 640x480 resolution level. cute design and good for laptop or LCD monitor. The image quality is not bad at this price. Easy to install and use.Long enough USB cable to connect to computer. The included headset very fashion and cute. And good sound quality.

Proud owner

Posted Dec 21, 2005 - I have owned creative webcam, Labtech webcam and was not satisfied with either of them. So went ahead with Logitech Qchat and have been using it for over 6 months now. Has good resolution, fast transfer and good capture rate of 30FPS. I would have preferred if it had some clamp so that I could attach it to my LCD screen. USB cable is sufficiently long but a little longer could have been better. Not a big problem though as one can get a USB extension cord. I liked its headset which is very easy to set up and comfortable to use. All in all a nice product for the low price. The performance is not great with less lighting in room and hence 4 stars. Otherwise the product is simply great.

Posted Dec 15, 2005 - Easy to install and use. Retail package includes a long USB cable to connect to computer. It also includes a headset. Most of the time you get good sound quality.

Good webcam

Posted Dec 13, 2005 - This webcam is very easy to install and use. One feature that I like is you can adjust color, sharpness, exposure... It can be mounted over your laptop screen. The picture quality is not so good but it is common to the webcam in this price range.

A good inexpensive webcam

Posted Dec 4, 2005 - Overall it's a good webcam at its price. The image is acceptable at standard resolution. The installation is very easy, just follow the instruction. However, when lighting is not enough the webcam performs bad. Anyway at this low price you can't ask for more.

Excellent product and very happy so far

Posted Jan 14, 2006 - I am using this camera from last 1.5 months and I am very happy so far. Higly recommed to everyone. Great picture and easily mountable camera, one of the best logitech camera.

Posted Nov 29, 2005 - low price means low quality, if you want to get high quality pics, forget about this Horrible Webcam. I think the headset even better than the webcam, maybe the webcam worth a penny, the headset worth some money.
