mr357magnum - (October 09, 2007) Trouble Shooting the Weider Crossbow Platnium MODEL: WESY78730 I would like to start off with the lower wire harness which seems to be most of the problems with this machine and what color wire goes where: BLACK GROUND WIRE: first connects to the lowest weight limit switch located in the hinge part of the pivot arm or top of the arm, it then multiples down to the highest weight limit switch located at the other end of the pivot arm near the motor, then the black ground wire multiples to a terminal that connects to the resistance sensor located at the end of the pivot arm. reynoea - (February 25, 2006) I was set on buying these dumbells, and happened to see them at Academy Sports in Nashville. After actually using them in the store, I would recommend anyone that's interested in them to see them in person before you buy them. To me, they felt very cheap and flimsy; the individual plates are plastic over metal, and feel like something you'd get at Wal-Mart. For someone just looking for convenience, they may be for fine you. Check out the "Powerblock" dumbells online first, I tried these in person, too, and they're so much sturdier...and cheaper!

sbrackq - (January 09, 2006) They are great for folks with limited workout areas. The select a weight feature is very easy to use and makes it very quick for changing weight amounts during your workout. The product itself seems a little flimsy for such a hefty price tag but they are acceptable.

5 Star Review Best Adjustable Dumbbell Out There

mklyle99 - (12/16/2008) The only comparable dumbbell in terms of toughness and quality of construction would be the Powerblock (everything else has plastic parts that will break at some point). But after using a set of Powerblocks in a hotel, where although they may not have been treated tenderly, I found that the Powerblocks don't work well when subjected to abuse. When removing weights, the plates would stick requiring the use of a heavy metal object to knock the extra weights loose. When adding weights I had to stand on the Powerblock dumbbell (or slam it hard) to get it back in the weight stack.
