Users might take a while to get used to the new taskbar and Aero Peek, but theyre a pleasure to use. THE BAD: Performance is still hit-or-miss in Windows 7. At the ripe age of seven, Windows XP still performs better in some categories. THE BOTTOM LINE: Windows 7 is more than what Vista should have been, its where Microsoft needed to go. Windows 7 (formerly codenamed Blackcomb and Vienna) is the next version of Microsoft Windows and the successor to Windows Vista. Microsoft has stated that it is "scoping Windows 7 development to a three-year timeframe", and that "the specific release date will ultimately be determined by meeting the quality bar." The first public beta was released to the public on January 9th, 2009 and will expire August 1st, 2009, with a downloadable ISO available to the first 2.5 million people. According to Collins Stewart analyst Sandeep Aggarwal, the market expects Windows 7 to debut in November 2009. ...
