Strengths: Excellent range - works very good at my school. I have a mixed b+g setup at home - works quite good in this setting also.
Weakness: Poor security, and tech support (no tech support available on weekends).
I would suggest using the U.S. Robotics Wireless Configuration Utility to configure the card. To do so, you must disable the window's own configuration utility. Once you do so the card will automatically find the optimum wirless access point and get you the best speed.

TopSounds easy enough, but how do you disable the operating systems utility and use the US Robotics provided utility?
Strengths: Signal strength and ease of setup.
Weakness: Haven't found any yet.
Spent a bit of time researching the various manufacturers of Wireless G and am confident that I made the right choice with US Robotics. I intalled their Turbo PC Adapter, PCI Card in my laptop and the Turbo 802.11G Router. All were easy to install and setup and have been pleased with the speed and signal strength.

TopStrengths: Very strong network coverage in the sense that it connects quick and has quick auto switch to make the best connection wherever you are in respect to the wireless access point.
Weakness: After a long time(day), for whatever reason, it looses signal and requires you to unplug it and plug it back in to regain signal.
I am very pleased with this product as it offers great flexibility in position and speed. I enjoy it much better than the Belkin I previously owned. Also, this card allows you to install the driver and stop the utility from opening so that advanced users can work off their operating systems built in wireless technology such as windows xp, which gives some utilities problems.

TopStrengths: EASY SOFTWARE INSTALLATION, THROUGHPUT SIMILAR TO WIRED NETWORK.
Weakness: HAD TO USE PPOE FOR AOL AND NEEDED TECH SUPPORT TO SET UP. THIS BRAND IS NOT CURRENLY SUPPORTED THROUGH AOL. 3RD PARTY WEBSITES SOMETIMES DON'T LOAD. PROBABLY NOT PRODUCTS FAULT, WORKS WELL OTHERWISE.
MY LAPTOP IS FINALLY WIRELESS AGAIN AND IS SIMILAR TO A WIRED NETWORK. I BELIEVE THAT IT'S AOL'S FAULT THAT I CAN'T SEEM TO LOAD SOME 3RD PARTY LINKS. AOL'S TECH SUPPORT DIDN'T HELP AND I'M GOING TO HAVE TO SPEAK WITH U.S.ROBOTICS AGAIN WHICH ISN'T TOLL FREE(INTERNET EXPLORER WOULDN'T LET ME GET EMAIL TECH SUPPORT) THIS IS NO CRISIS BUT IS DEFINITELY ANNOYING. SPEED IS VERY GOOD AND I HAVE NOT LOST ANY CONNECTIONS TO THE ROUTER JUST AOL'S CONNECTION(BROADBAND CABLE, DSL,ISP).

TopStrengths: Two reboots of the laptop internet connection was up and running.. High connection speed with the USR8054 router.. Great signal strength - 95% from the basement to router location (3 floors)
Weakness: I still haven't figured out how to share files (network) between computers. The instructions are a bit convoluted in this area.
The best price I found was through PriceGrabber. Made the purchase through CDW. Price was $42, ground shipping $10 (though Pricegrabber showed CDW's shipping charge as $5 and change). The $52 total was still $10 to $25 less than others total cost (eCost/Buy.com,etc.). After rebate (which expires on 3/31/04) the total cost will be $32. Great buy..

TopStrengths: Price is right, good signal strength, fast connection, easy to install, easy plug n play on the go
Weakness: Sometimes crashes computer or messes up internet connection when suspending laptop
Have been a few occasions when my signal goes in and out while other wireless users stayed connected. Overall, it does everything I expected and was the cheapest wireless card I could find (especially with the $20 manufacturer rebate).

Bought this card and USR8054 base station and installed in Win98 laptop without any problems. I am quite happy with the package. It is perhaps the cheapest 801.11g card in the market (after rebate). I got mine at ebuyer (via Pricegrabber.com). I may buy one more card for my kid.

I've used many wireless cards (linksys, smc, gigafast) and this by far the best. I use this card mainly with the usrobotics wireless router w/two antennas, so that might have something to do with this card's superiority. nonetheless, it works beautifully.

great card, great price with rebates (usrobotics.com).Some friends i know who have the same card have complained of frequent need to reboot to regain the signal in a college wireless network environment, but that may be due to many other variables.

TopStrengths: Very fast network speeds (125 Mbps w/ upgrade), Excellent connection, Secure
Weakness: Installation with old software is very slightly difficult, but has no problem with new software.
I have owned this card and a US Robotics router for 6 months and it has done Excellent on speed and connection quality. ALWAYS Excellent or Very Good connection in the Windows network configuration. I have had a great experience with this card; the only problem (and with the updated software there is no problem) is the installation is tricky. 9.5/10 for me.

Got this US Robotics 802.11G 54Mbps Wireless Turbo PC Card for my laptop. Worked very well with my Belkin Wireless 802.11B router. Easy to install and configure the wireless networking setup. I get find strong wireless signals at my home and it works just fine. It's said it could be updated to 100mbps.

US Robotics USR5410 Wireless Adapter
Strengths: I did tremendous research before selecting US Robotics 802.11G 54Mbps Wireless Turbo PC Card (USR5410). Finally, when I installed this product, I think, I did no mistake. It is simply superb.
Weakness: So far, I did not notice even a single weakness. It is as good as any available 802.11G Network Adaptor available in the world.
I can't say, this is the best product available in the market. What I must inform, this is the best buy, means value for money. I didn't expect more than what it has, that also at this fantastic price (after Mail-In Rebates)!
